BOYS GYMNASTICS CAMPS Instructional Camp 1: June 27-July 1 UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS / 2015 SUMMER CAMPS Instructors include current Fighting Illini coaches Justin Spring, Olympian, and Daniel Riberio, NCAA National Champion, along with current and former Fighting Illini Gymnasts. The Fighting Illini Summer Boys Gymnastics Camps will be run by sixth year Head Coach Justin Spring. Justin has extensive camp experience from working at camps all over the country for the last 9 years. In addition to his coaching experience, Justin’s collegiate and Olympic experiences are incorporated into the Illinois camps! The camps will provide sound, quality instruction from many outstanding staff, including current and former Illinois gymnasts. Major emphasis will be placed on fundamentals, body positions and skill acquisition. The camps also provide important messages to the young boys in a variety of subjects, such as goal setting, discipline, psychological aspect of training and mental toughness. Many Junior National Championship participants and future Illinois gymnasts have come to be a part of our camps, and some have even attended for many consecutive years. Staff Every year the University of Illinois coaching staff and gymnastics team looks forward to the summer camp season. Illinois coaches and student-athletes serve in a variety of capacities at camp (counselors, coaches, one on one technicians). Student athlete involve- ment is particularly important because campers have direct contact with NCAA Champions, All Americans, and National Team Members! As partners the athletes and campers work together to develop good training attitudes, discipline and friendships! The University of Illinois continues to put out some of the best gymnasts in the world and they do their training right here at Kenney Gym. Recreational Activities Throughout the camps the staff and campers will participate in a variety of recreational activities in and outside the practice gym. On the light practice day, campers will attend a local water park or go to the movies. The last night of camp is the mini-Olympic night, where campers compete, with their training group, in a variety of non-gymnastics activi- ties against the rest of the camp to win awesome prizes. This camp is a great balance of hard work and fun! Camp Fees and Information RESIDENT: $495 (Includes room and board) COMMUTERS: $455 (Does not include room and board; lunch is included) GROUP DISCOUNT AVAILABLE: Groups of 8 or more will receive a discount of $40 per camper. We require a separate form for each camper. All applications must be mailed together. Please check group discount on the application. ELIGIBILITY: Open to any and all boys 8–18 (high school senior). NECESSITIES: Please bring your own swimming suit, bed linens, pillow, toiletries, towels, and washcloths. ATTENTION CAMPERSGeneral camp information along with a statement, a confirmation letter, a map with directions and a medical release form are mailed upon the enrollment. Please allow 5-7 days processing prior to the mailing of confirmation materials. If you prefer to pay by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express, please complete the credit card information required on the application or visit our website at www.fightingillini.com/camps. If you prefer to pay by check, please make checks payable to the ‘University of Illinois’ and write the participant’s FULL NAME on the check. Please mail the completed application form and FULL payment to, University of Illinois, Office of Sport Camps & Clinics, 1700 South Fourth, Champaign, IL 61820.

CANCELLATION/REFUND/NSF POLICY: ALL refund requests need to be submitted in writing using the ‘Refund Request Form’ found on the website or by calling the camps office (217-244-7278). Your camp cost, less a $50 non-refundable cancellation fee, is refunded without question if you cancel at least one week prior to the registration date. At any time after that date, refunds (less the $50 non-refundable fee) are made for medical reasons only and a signed statement from your physician must accompany the written request. If a cancellation request is not received by the last day of instruction, a refund is not issued. Campers who must leave during camp due to an illness or injury verified by our medical personnel will receive a refund (written request is necessary). Refunds are not given to campers who voluntarily leave camp or who are sent home for disciplinary reasons. REFUNDS, FOR ANY REASON, ARE NOT ISSUED AFTER AUGUST 31, 2015. NSF Checks submitted to the office are subject to a $30 return check fee. This fee is assessed in addition to the face value of the check.

CAMPER DESCRIPTION: Commuter Camper is defined as a camper that is not staying in the residence hall. This camper participates in all camp activities. They must provide their own transportation to and from camp each day. Lunch is included in the commuter fee for those camps where meals are served. Additional meals included in the commuter cost vary from camp to camp. Passes for the remaining meals are available for purchase anytime at the front desk of the residence hall. Resident Camper is defined as a camper staying overnight for the duration of camp. All meals are included.

ACCOMMODATIONSCampers will stay in the modern, air-conditioned Bromley Residence Hall. Bromley Hall, an easy walk from training venues, has 24 hour reception desk, air conditioned rooms, private bathroom per suite and resident directors on every floor. Campers may enjoy Bromley’s indoor pool (with lifeguard), TV lounge and game room.
