  • MD. FOREWORD

Thank you for taking the time to read through this newsletter. Like myself, I am sure you are inundated with mountains of magazines, journals and marketing emails all competing for your time and attention. The purpose of this particular communication is to keep you our customers up to date on what is happening inside Edge and what to expect this coming year. As a result, hopefully this will spark some new ideas and opportunities.

2014 was a very successful year for Edge. We saw an 18% increase in sales levels and a 32% increase in spare parts Sales. The Edge brand is increasingly recognizable across the world within the industry and this should prove beneficial for both ourselves, our dealers and of course, owners of Edge products. Ten new dealers have joined the team in the last 12 months and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome them all to the Edge family. 2015 will see further expansion of our dealer network. The launch last year of several new models including the Roll Sizer, Fines Plant and RTU contributed much to the growth in sales. However existing products such as the MS range, the TS range, as well as the Trommel and Slayer lines were important contributors to sales growth and of course attracting new dealers. Last year saw some indications that the Global financial crisis was moving further into the past. This was however the case only in some countries within Europe as well as the United States. Several other markets however faced very challenging years. Our Dealers in Africa and Australia in particular due to a contraction within the mining sector had a difficult 2014. These difficulties look like continuing somewhat into 2015.

The recent drop in the value of

oil has had repercussions for several economies. The strength of the Dollar is of course an advantage for a Sterling based manufacturing organisation but the impact on the Russian economy and of course the weakening of the Russian Ruble is not good news for anyone.

The upcoming general election in the UK and the impact thereafter on the European Union is certainly a story to keep an eye on. Irrespective of all these uncertainties, difficulties and challenges, 2015 presents us all with serious opportunities.

This year we will continue with our policy of aggressive product development. January 2015 will see our first ever global dealer conference. This particular event will also see the launch of the 516 wheeled Trommel. Other new products throughout the year will include a 516 Tracked Trommel, Larger Shredder and a new Train off-loading track conveyor. We will also be continuing our product improvement plan with facelift models of the TS and RTS ranges by Spring-time.

The team in Ireland also expanded last year. I expect further additions in 2015. We will be looking to recruit more Sales and service staff to help support our increasing number of dealers.

As with any organisation, we are only as good as the people we have. I would like to take this opportunity to thank of all of our team members that contribute in such a valuable way to the creation, manufacture and distribution of our product range. Together we will continue to strive for excellence in everything that we do and to deliver to you our customer the best there is in terms of products, services and support. Thank-you for your custom during 2014 and all the best for the year ahead.

  • EDGE RTU220 (RADIAL TRUCK UNLOADER)The RTU220 provides operators with a highly efficient loading method, designed to allow operators to continuously load directly from trucks into train wagons or barges. The full HMI Control Panel and remote control functions provide operators easy control of the RTU functions whilst loading. An independent track mounted unit, the RTU220 provides flexibility and reliability. Powered by a Cat 4.4 96KW (129BHP) diesel engine, the RTU220 offers huge torque whilst only consuming 12-15 litres per hour (3-4USG). Further cost savings are provided by a dual power option.

Innovation is often cited by business gurus as being vital for business growth and sustainability. For Edge however, Innovation isn’t just in the name, it’s in the blood. The staff at Edge Innovate are constantly striving for innovative solutions with new product ideas regularly make their way to the marketplace. With the implementation of this aggressive product development programme, the Edge Innovate family continually grew throughout 2014 with a number of new Material Handling products being brought to market such as the new RTU220 and LTS 360° Unlimited.

Edge Innovate have continued to showed their confidence in the recycling sector with the expansion of the Edge Recycling Division’s product offerings in the form of the new FMS Fines Plant which incorporates the newly developed FF16X5 Flip Flop/Flow Screen. Other product developments have come to bear fruition in the form of the up-graded TRM622 Mobile Trommel, the up-graded TS-Series and RS1500. All of which have been modified and improved via the quality feedback from our customers and distributor network.

EDGE SLAYER XL BASKET SYSTEMWith the new Slayer XL screening system, material is shredded to the required particle size in just one pass. The baskets come in various apertures from 50mm to 250mm depending on the customer requirements and can be quickly removed or exchanged for different aperture screens. The Edge Slayer can be employed as either a primary or secondary shredder due to its highly robust design and superior resistance to difficult to shred material. With a high percentage of material processed by primary shredders not being resized to the desired piece size, the new Slayer Basket system guarantees the operator the desired piece in just one pass thus cutting down on production times and operating costs.

EDGE TRM622 UP-GRADEThe TRM622 now provides greater versatility via notable upgrades that include a built in working angle of 5°, lower feed in height for ease of feeding via smaller wheeled loaders, harder wearing brushes for improved mesh cleaning and a larger feed opening for material transferring to the trommel drum. It also boasts an extremely wide collection conveyor which eliminates the risk of material bridging. The upgraded mobile trommel also incorporates larger oversize and radial conveyors, boosting its stockpiling capacity.

RS1500 UP-GRADEThe new upgraded Edge Roll-Sizer now boasts an increased hopper capacity from 7m³ to 11.25m³ and a lower feed in height of 3.3m allowing the RS1500 to be fed by the largest wheel loaders without the need for a constructed ramp. A newly developed fines conveyor with a 3.5m discharge height for increased stockpile capacity with hydraulic folding for quick transport has been added with an additional ON/OFF function allowing for fines to be diverted to the main product conveyor. The RS1500 Pre-screen has been redeveloped to facilitate various mesh screens for fine screening applications. The Feed conveyor now boasts a twin drive system to facilitate the transfer of larger material volumes.

EDGE FSM FINES RECOVERY PLANTIntroducing the new Edge Innovate FSM Fines Plant. With a ten stage separation process, the FSM is the perfect solution to reducing landfill costs and generating more revenue. The new plant incorporates a mobile Feeder Stockpiler with bespoke hopper, our new Flip Flop Screen, over-band and head drum magnets, blowers and our new material classifier. The FSM Fines Plant is another example of Edge Innovate providing solutions to meet the ever-changing demands placed on recycling facilities.

EDGE FF 16X5 (FLIP FLOP/FLOW SCREEN)The Edge Flip Flop Screen has been designed to handle hard screening tasks that conventional screens cannot. It combines two motions in order to create dual vibration movement. The new screen incorporates a heavy duty screen structure which generates a huge throw that propels material upwards and outwards so that the material can get time to untangle and separate. Heavier material is thrown to the front of the screen leaving the lighter material behind for fine screening. The Edge Flip Flop Screen incorporates an integral Oversize Conveyor, integral Fines Collection Conveyor and walkway access.

LTS 360° UNLIMITEDThe LTS 360° Unlimited combines the benefits of an Edge LTS and the flexibility of a full 360° slewing function. The 360° Unlimited option maximises the Loading / Unloading Ships, Trains, Barges etc. by enabling an operator to rotate the stacker a full 360° uninterrupted.Simple positioning of the tracks parallel to the vessel, allows the machine to travel along the side of the vessel without the need to re-adjust the orientation of the machine. This greatly increases loading times and efficiencies. This option still only requires ONE operator to run an entire stacker that will offer up to 1000TPH (depending on material) for continuous loading. The 360° Unlimited range also incorporates our Feeder Track Stockpiler (FTS) with a main conveyor length of up to 75ft.

for staff being advertised at many factory gates. Edge Innovate is no exception to this rule with its expanding premises being located in a rural siting, a few miles north of Dungannon concealing a company that is at the cutting edge in its field, but it is not alone because around the corner from its facilities there is an oasis of factories and warehouses all working at full steam with full staff car parks and pleas for welders and fitters to come and join them hung high by the entrance.Any business that is out looking for extra hands must be doing something right so it was with keen anticipation thatI met up with Adrian Donnelly of Edge Innovate’s marketing department who had kindly offered to show me around the premises and explain what the company was doing and where it was heading.Global businessBefore viewing the factory itself we first stopped at a large map of the world where it was pointed out that they now have 60 dealers globally with more destined to come on stream this year including one from New Zealand.

He also rather bemusedly told me of their latest despatch, a machine destined for Vladivostock, which the customer had decided to collect, sending a truck all the way across Russia on a 16,000 mile round trip to do so. This, though, was an exception to the normal method of shipment where the machines are sent by standard container into which they are designed to neatly slot.Ninety five percent of Edge’s production is exported meaning that transport is an important consideration in the design stage and this attention to detail is no doubt a large factor in its success.

Hoppers, conveyors and feedersThere is no shortage of companies that offer devices to sort, crush and screen bulk materials across a range that covers anything from granite to waste biscuits but there are far fewer that construct the ancillary equipment which has the potential for speeding up the operation of delivering the materials into the processor and then taking them from the other end for stockpiling, This is where Edge comes in. The company supplies the hoppers, conveyors and feeders necessary to streamline the operation of a processing tool and render it far more efficient through greater utilisation of staff and loading shovels or grabs.

    STREAMLINE PROCESSING

here once Belfast may have been the centre of heavy engineering in the north it would seem that Co Tyrone has since assumed the mantle as any drive through the county will provide plenty of evidence of a busy manufacturing sector, including vacanciesW

Rural County Tyrone hosts an operation that does business supplying machinery that is essential for speeding up and streamlining bulk materials processing. Machinery Movers’ Justin Roberts was invited to see Edge Innovate’s facilities first hand.

The company came into being during the recession of2000/1, having budded off from KMC engineering which had been fabricating sub assemblies for the main players in the quarrying and recycling industries, but with the downturn in business they found their customers taking the work back in house and so rather than downsize them-selves the new company was formed to manufacture and sell complete material handling units of their own, a strategy that has proven most successful for they now employ 125 staff, have a turnover in excess of £12m and occupy a site of 150,000 square metres.

Dedicated recycling machineryCompanies don’t stay successful by standing still though, and so it was a natural progression to introduce a range of machinery dedicated to the recycling industry and here it is moving into new territory by offering the processing machines themselves, rather than just the ancillary conveyors and hoppers for other installations. Waste disposal has moved on a long way from finding a big hole and then filling it with rubbish as was the old method for it now encompasses not just the physical separation and shredding of waste but also the need to keep an eye on commodity markets to ensure the that the best value is being obtained from the incoming material. It was always thus with scrap metal but now even old car tyres, recycled plastics and wood for power plants have become tradable on exchanges which may sound somewhat

Ninety fivepercent of Edge Innovate’s production is exported.

asked of them as well as to continue developing the current product range. He sees no great revolution in either area but rather a fast paced evolution of what already works, pointing to the large strides that have been made over the past few years in terms of efficiency and productivity. In ten years time it will be different again, of that he is certain, but he can’t say how, so it’s a question of spotting and exploiting opportunities to offer a better product as they appear meaning that marketing, dealer support and customer satisfaction will carry an increasing emphasis over the coming years.

Production & assemblyOnce designed a new piece of equipment is prepared for production in the drawing office before the plans and instructions are sent to the shop floor. Sheet metal is plasma cut for a neat finish and swift turnaround. Any folding or pressing is then performed before the components are sent to be welded, sandblasted, smoothed and painted. Having reached this stage they are ready for assembly in the final building and here they are laid out in order before being brought together by a skilled team of fitters. Assembly time can take from a few days to several weeks depending on the complexity of the machine and juggling the various jobs around to fit on the shop floor can be something of a trial. However, manufacturing quality is paramount and all machines are fully built up and tested before being packed away in containers for shipment abroad. Once on site they are reassembled under the watchful eye of Edge’s own ser-vice engineer or one from the dealer if he has been trained to do so. Edge Innovate is an impressive and motivated company that obviously intends pushing itself forward in the quarrying and recycling industries. There is no doubt that they posses the energy and foresight to see the present run of success continue well into the future. I just hope that Russian driver makes it home safely with his load intact.

remote from companies like Edge but it is they who are being asked to build machines that will be effective in separating waste and so increase its value. The company employs a design team of nine engineers who not only create new machines but also adapt existing designs for new applications. Naturally all the designs are drawn up by using CAD systems and are very often built in direct response to customers’ requests. Being relatively small in the business, they can easily adapt their product to fit the customer’s requirements whereas their larger competitors are more orientated to selling what they make rather what may actually best suit the client or the job in hand. This difference in outlook has certainly given them an advantage in the market place and has no doubt played a large part in their growth.Darragh Cullen, the managing director, certainly believes so, asserting that the three key areas on which the company focus on are innovation, low volume and high variability, all elements that bring the advantages of matching the equipment to the need of the operator.Cullen is certainly an enthusiast for looking at the bigger picture and takes a very open view of developments in both the quar-rying and waste disposal spheres around the world. He now feels that the company has the right design team in place with the resources available to produce whatever is

  • “It’s a no brainer” How one company addressed the trommel fines issue

Dickinson gives a brief background on his company. “We were farmers when we first set up, selling horses to the army for both wars. Then we progressed in to horse and cart and haulage for the local area. In the 1980s, we saw a market for the recycling of materials and skip hire. We moved to this site in 2001.”While J Dickinson and Sons has a skip hire arm to the business, their main work is processing waste.“We hire in walk-in floors and we pull in waste from all around the country. 80% of the tonnage we do is from third parties, and 20% is from our own wheels. We have around seventeen trucks on the roads, predominately doing skip hire.”

With the trommel fines situation kicking off in 2012, Dickinson decided to go back to the drawing board and review where his business should be heading. As the amount of waste coming in to the yard increased, Dickinson realised he would have to make a substantial investment in to some kit in order to make the site run as profitably as possible.

“With the waste coming to us, it was more important for me to invest in equipment rather then put more lorries on the road.”Dickinson took this decision seriously, doing extensive research on all the manufacturers who could potentially offer him a solution to the type of bespoke machinery that he had in mind. “A lot of manufacturers rushed out bits of kit (after the tax increase on trommel fines was announced) but we decided that if we were going to buy something that could cater for the changing market, we should take our time over it.” After months of research and negotiations with Max Innovate (the dealer for Edge in the north of England) they decided the Edge Fines Plant was most suited to their needs.“We went all over the UK and Germany looking at equipment from all manufacturers. Through the process of elimination, we got to Edge. We were impressed by the ap-proach of their dealer Max Innovate and the Edge product strength, build quality and back-up they were offering. We did compare them to others on the market and we thought this was the best value and more suited tom our multiple applications needs.”

Dickinson & Sons is a fourth generation business based on the M61 corridor west of Bolton, Lancashire. James Dickinson, the managing director, runs the business on a 17 acre site accepting waste from all around the country on their purpose-built site.J

    PRODUCT FOCUS

  • John McGuinness of Max Innovate was put in charge of making sure that J Dickinson and Sons remain happy clients. And that meant taking on board Dickinson’s list of everything he needed to process his waste as efficiently as possible.“When James approached us, he had a list of requirements. One of the things that swayed him was that the plant was semi-mobile. It has been in three different locations in the past three months. It’s not on tracks but you can disconnect it and move it within an hour or two.”Dickinson agrees, “Edge and Max Innovate were willing to adapt to some of my ideas for the plant. There were a few extra magnets put in, a few extra conveyors; we wanted some flexibility with the machines, so we could change the decks with ease and layout of the plant if we needed to, for example.” James Dickinson needed the machine to meet the standards raised by the HMRC and the trommel finessituation, With the current consultation document on the introduction of a Loss Of Ignition test (LOI) to determine the correct tax liability on segregated fines, subject to

qualifying material inputs, this plant can be adjusted and changed, to cope with any outcome in this eagerly await-ed industry issue.Another selling point was that the Edge processing unit caters for multiple applications. “There are four different applica-tions going on in this yard – C&I, C&D, demolition and a special recycling stream,” says McGuinness. “The plant that they’ve bought can benefit them in different ways. It can deal with different sizes of material that goes in to it. James’ main product that he is putting in to it at the moment is light material for RDF. Where everybody else wants their hardcore to come out as clean as possible, so they can get rid of it and they don’t mind a bit of wood in the waste, James wanted it the other way round. He wanted the light to be like confetti. But he has the option to change his mind and the process and concentrate on heavy material in no time at all. That took a bit of engineering.”

Future-proof Onsite, qualifying material that are processed are split into different types, the heavy material works to WRAP protocol and goes straight into crushing and screening. Dickinson gets a return from product which he was once paying to tip. “When the trommel fines problem hit,” says Dickinson, “We knew it was going to be an insurance policy for us, which is why we put the order in a while ago.”

Since being installed, the Edge Fines Plant has been very successful. The amount of tonnage coming in to the yard has increased, but the plant has been able to cope with the increased pressure by processing product more efficiently with greater yields. Although Dickinson’s plan was to cope with the upheaval of the trommel fines situation, he has also made it future-proof for further growth.“We’re aiming to process a minimum of fifteen tonnes an hour through the machine on a ten hour day. We’re also able to increase that if we need to, depending on product input. In regards to going forwards, we have a license to run five and a half days but we do shift through breaks if we need to, depending on waste inputs. We’re 80% reliant on third parties coming in, so we can be hit all at once by an influx of tonnage.” Over the past few years, J Dickinson and Sons have realised the importance of building strong relationships with blue chip companies. This means building a national reputation for quality, reliability, and them ability to operate profitably in good times and bad. This ambition has been realised partly thought the investment with Edge. “We’re associated with Biffa, Veolia, Sita and Bolton council. We’re getting more associated with blue-chip companies which reflect on how we conduct ourselves, and the machines we purchase. Our blue chip clients are more health and safety aware and want us to achieve their expectations. So now our standards are getting higher and working with Edge, they’re fully aware of what expectations and standards are required. It can be as simple as a start-up beacon or a buzzer, an access walkway, maintenance, a file when a machine is delivered – it all complements where we’re going and working with Edge has contributed to us getting things how they should be from the start, rather than going backwards and picking up the pieces.”

Build quality and versatility. Another contributing factor in the decision to buy from Edge was the high quality of the product – something that McGuinness is proud of. “The other competitors do not design, manufacture, build and install like Edge do. There are 150 people who work for Edge between designers and shop floor. They are the biggest privately owned manufacturing company in Northern Ireland. The weight of the individual items is 60% heavier than anything else, just in pure steel alone.” Another one of Dickinson’s requirements was the recovery of the metals. Following discussions with Max and Dickinsons, £30,000-worth of magnets were installed on the plant which have proved their worth since the plant has started operation. Dickinson is pleased with the decision. “We’re significantly improving what we get back on the ferrous metals. It’s also graded slightly different in the fact that we can get more return on the metal rather than loose light. The plant is almost paying for itself on the

recovery of metals which is something we never anticipated –

    it’s a no brainer, really.”

The plant is by no means a finished project.Dickinson is constantly looking for ways to improve the treatment of the waste that comes in – and gives all his feedback to Max Innovate. The Edge product has so impressed the company that Dickinson has extended an offer to any interested parties to check the machinery out.“I’m willing to speak to anyone who wants to trial some product to see whether the machine suits their application, they’re welcome to work with us and Max Innovate.” In the meantime, Dickinson’s hard work and research has paid off. “I have done a lot of investigation and put in a lot of effort looking in to the best kit for my yard. I wanted to get it right the first time, and I feel we have done that with Edge and Max Innovate, working together as a team. They’re a credit to do business with and they’ve created a product that will last us for many years to come.”

“Reduce Cycle times and increase production” with the Edge RTU220...

From there it was transported to the storage area from which it was stockpiled using wheeled loaders. This was a time consuming, costly process and did not allow Fullen Docks to create large enough stockpiles. By using an RTU220 and RTS80, they were able to stockpile the light aggregate material to a height they required as well as vastly reducing the cycle times from the barge to the storage area. Trucks were now able to offload directly in the RTU220 which in turn transferred the material into an Edge RTS80 creating a stockpile volume of 1740m³ (2276 yards³).The RTU220 has dramatically expanded Fullen Docks material handling options. The RTU220 has eliminated the need to double handle material, excluded the need for a wheeled loader and vastly reduced cycle times from the barge to the storage facility. As well as meeting the demands of handling difficult, fragile materials. The versatility of the RTU220 is highlighted by Fullen Docks future plans with their intention of deploying the RTU220 and its 140° 50FT Radial Conveyor to load directly into barges with materials from their Fullen Stone Department.

Their clients include barge brokers, freight forwarders, and manufacturers requiring barge loading, offloading, harbour and tug services, trans-shipment, trucking and storage within the Mid-South and to other continental U.S. regions. Fullen Stone Stores, a subsidiary of Fullen Docks sell and transport a wide variety of aggregate products to the regional construction trade. With a successful tender to provide lightweight aggregate to a concrete block manufacturer, Fullen Docks made the decision to invest in an Edge RTU220 and RTS80. Lightweight concrete blocks are made by replacing the sand and gravel with expanded clay, shale, or slate. Expanded clay, shale, and slate are produced by crushing the raw materials and heating them to 2000°F (1093°C). At this temperature the material bloats, or puffs up, because of the rapid generation of gases caused by the combustion of small quantities of organic material trapped inside. The problem with such a material is that it cannot be stockpiled via wheeled loaders as the material is very fragile and breaks down under the weight of the shovel; therefore, it must be stockpiled via a stacker. Prior to purchasing the RTU, Fullen Docks off-loaded barges using an excavator into

  • “Guaranteed Piece-Size in just One Pass!” Edge Innovate launch new Shredder basket systemEdge Innovate has gained a reputation not just as a high quality equipment manufacturer but also as an organisation quick to respond to changing customer needs and demands. With decades of experience in equipment Engineering and design, the Edge Design Academy adopt a listening approach to customer interaction. Individual machine concepts and improvements are less likely to be the result of a particular engineer and more likely to be an idea that has originated from the yard of a skip hire company or a recycling facility.

The entire Edge product range can trace its roots back directly to equipment end users. The latest result of this direct customer input is the recently launched Basket system for the much acclaimed Slayer XL.With this new screen system, material is shredded to the required particle size in just one pass. The baskets come in various apertures from 50mm to 250mm depending on the customer requirements and can be quickly removed or exchanged for a different aperture screens. The Edge Slayer can be employed as either a primary or secondary shredder due to its highly robust design and superior resistance to difficult to shred material. Indeed, the XL range can be supplied with up to 12 different shaft configurations, making the machine suitable for a huge range of applications. This combined with impressive features such as tramp metal cycles and intelligent load sensing insures against asset damage and downtime. With a high percentage of material processed by primary shredders not being resized to the desired piece size required, the new Slayer Basket system guarantees the operator the desired piece in just one pass thus cutting down on production times and operating costs. This new shredding chamber configuration comes with bolt on tools with two cutting edges, (doubling tooth life) heavy duty pipe unit shafts and optional tooth breaker bar. The new cutting edges on the bolt on tools enable the Slayer Basket System to both cut and shred. These characteristics allow the Slayer to process difficult to handle materials such as carpets, tires and mattresses at a high throughput capacity but whilst at low engine output. With the recycling industry ever changing and adapting to new regulations and stringent requirements placed on MRFs, adaptability is key. Whether it is processing C&D or domestic household waste the Edge Slayer offers that all-round capability.

The Edge Slayer can be customised to provide the right tonnage at the desired pieces size. If pre-shredding is

required, simply remove the basket mesh. Ultimately the Edge Slayer is your pre-shredder and secondary shredder all in one. With an aggressive product development program implemented by Edge Innovate since 2009, the company has created an ever growing product range geared towards the recycling sector. All these product ideas came directly from the end user and customer. Max Innovate our dealer for the North of England has recently experienced great success with the Slayer XL basket system after several successful demonstrations lead to multiple sales.John McGuinness, sales consultant for Max Innovate commented “The reputation of Edge is growing strongly in the UK market and their ability to quickly adapt to the ever changing requirements of the recycling industry is bringing significant cost savings to our customers. We have several shredders with the new basket system work-ing successfully in a range of applications and we can arrange for customers to come and see them.”

The Edge Basket system is just the latest in a long line of Innovations and product ideas that Edge has brought to the market. Watch this space for the next instalment!

  • COMMUNITY

“Supporting local initiatives” Edge has formed very strong ties with the local community through sponsorship of local sports teams, support of various charitable foundations, as well as a strong focus on education with links with both Queen’s University Belfast and University Ulster through a number of placement programmes. We are proud to be able to contribute the local community.

The most interesting of these recent initiatives is our partnership with nearby St. Joseph’s College, Coalisland. In 2014 we proudly announced our three year partnership. In February 2014 the college had a hugely successful launch of their refurbished Engineering and Technology Department due to a substantial investment of £1.6 million from the Department of Education. We were particularly impressed with the great potential that this investment had for producing a future workforce suitably trained and motivated for the world of engineering.

Darragh Cullen Managing Director at EDGE commented “We are great supporters of all local initiatives and St Joseph’s College is leading the way in providing the right training and education to allow our young people to work locally in what is a thriving industry. We need well trained and motivated team members who have the skills and drive to continue the engineering”

Mr. Desi McNeill, principal of St Joseph’s College also added “I am delighted with the support that Edge Innovate is able to provide the college. We have worked hard over this past couple of years to get the building and equipment suitable for delivering a curriculum that will allow our pupils experience the various aspects of modern day engineering. We intend to use the partnership to show our pupils potential pathways to employment and use the expertise and experience of the Edge staff to give our pupils an advantage in their school and post-school careers. I welcome the enthusiasm that Darragh Cullen has shown for this Business/School partnership and we share a vision where local companies can support ‘local education for local jobs.”
