Q: Why did Maximized Living choose The 5 EssentialsTM as guideposts for real health?

The public is beginning to understand what science has known for years…your gut-immune system relationship is critical in overall health. There’s one more link that we need to connect, because it’s a big one: your brain. It has been well known that your brain (mental stress) can directly impact your digestive system (constipation or diarrhea), but what’s now as evident is that our gut impacts your brain function. And what is critically essential to understand is that our daily lifestyle choices affect the

function of our brain, which controls all the other systems of the body. Medical Healthcare Body ArmorIt’s no secret that we live in an over-medicated society. So with the high exposure to chemicals and toxins from medical healthcare, there is a system of living and access to an innate power that you and your family already have inside. Innate Body Armor at WorkThink about this: the hypothalamus, a section of your brain that links your nerve system to the endocrine system, also regulates your body temperature. So think about when you or your child has fever and the purpose of a fever. As if you needed one more reason to receive regular chiropractic care, multiple research studies have shown that regular spinal correction can enhance various aspects of immune function. For example, chiropractic care has been clinically shown to:

• Enhance the production of immunoregulatory cytokine IL-2 and the production of immunoglobulin.

No one really knows for sure how catastrophic it was, but the total death count has been estimated at upwards of 100 million, which would make this pandemic 2,500% more fatal than most flu pandemics!

It’s interesting to note that unlike most flu outbreaks which predominately kill children, the elderly and people who are already sick, the Spanish Flu targeted healthy young adults. This is notable because according to recent research done on the bodies of frozen victims, the most deadly virus in the history of mankind caused an autoimmune reaction, making people who had strong immune systems susceptible to harm.

The strong immune reactions of young adults ravaged the body, whereas the weaker immune systems of children and middle-aged adults resulted in fewer deaths among those groups.

Most people are unaware of this, but chiropractors were originally licensed as medical doctors because of their ability to treat infection, and they regularly treated infectious diseases like polio up until the 1950s!

According to a historical account of the Spanish Flu disaster by the Texas Chiropractic Association:

• Chiropractors got fantastic results from influenza patients while those under medical care died like flies all around.

• Statistics reflect a most amazing, almost miraculous state of affairs. The medical profession was practically helpless with the flu victims, but chiropractors seemed able to do no wrong.

Some of the most fascinating pieces of data include:• National figures show that 1,142 chiropractors

treated 46,394 patients for influenza during 1918, with a loss of 54 patients—one out of every 859.

• In the small town of Davenport, Iowa, for instance, chiropractors managed 1,635 cases with only one death. Comparatively, MDs treated 4,953 flu cases and 274 patients died.

• Throughout the rest of Iowa, MDs treated 93,590 patients and 6,116 died (a loss of one patient out of every 15). Comparatively, chiropractors managed 4,735 patients and only six patients died (a loss of one patient out of every 789).

• In Oklahoma, chiropractors were called in to help with 233 cases where MDs gave up hope that the patient would survive, and all but 25 patients survived.

Serves 6-8 | Raw, Vegan.

Ingredients• 3/4 cup chia seeds• 4 cups almond milk, cashew

milk or coconut milk• 2 vanilla beans (split down the

center and seeds removed) or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

• 6-8 tablespoons erythritol (like Swerve) or pure stevia to taste—about 1/2 teaspoon to start and add more if desired. Spoonable stevia—start with 2 teaspoons and add from there. Liquid stevia—start with 1 teaspoon and add from there

DirectionsAdd almond milk, vanilla, and sweetener to a blender and mix well. With the blender on a very low setting, add the chia seeds and mix. If you would like to add other ingredients, do it here. Transfer to a container and stir every 5 minutes for the first 15 minutes then let sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Transfer to the refrigerator. Most people would agree that exercise is vital to good health. We’ve all heard about how proper amounts of exercise can help reduce stress, prevent disease, improve memory, build strong bones, and help with weight loss.
