Seoul and its surrounding districts make up one of the world’s largest metropolitan areas, with over 25 million people. With a population density almost double that of New York, Seoul is a vibrant hive of activity, offering endless opportunities for discovery and fun.

Even with such a huge population, Seoul is a genuinely beautiful city, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and the sea, and nestledon the banks of the Han River. Although you may be tempted never to leave Gangnam, it is possible to travel outside the hustle and bustle in just minutes.

Seoul is a city built for freezing winters and steamy summers; huddle around a table-top BBQ in the cooler months or kick back in an office-roof beer garden in the long summer nights. Whatever the time of year, an almost endless selection of entertainment options await you.

A ‘city of villages’, it sometimes seems that every subway stop adds a whole new character to the city; experience the fashion madness of Gangnam, the alternative music scene in Hongdae, the packed shopping streets ofMyongdong and the soaring officetowers of the Jongro district. One of Asia’s leading cultural centres, Seoul has five ancient palaces and five UNESCO World Heritage sites. You can lose yourself in over seven hundred museums, and hundreds of performance centers and galleries. Bargain hard at cheap-and-cheerful markets or treat yourself at some of the world’s leading fashion boutiques. Party the night away in a dizzying array of nightclubs, or relax with your Korean friends for a night of bulgogi and beers.

Whatever your interests, and whetheryou are there for a weekend or for years, Seoul has something for everyone. We can’t wait to share our city with you!

Lexis Korea can arrange accommodation from a selection of mini-studio locations. Mini-studios, or Koshiwan, are low-priced accommodation normally used by university students living in Seoul. Rooms are self contained, with basic furnishings and an internal bathroom. Kitchen and laundry facilities are shared, and there is always free rice, noodles and kimchi available. Please keep in mind that while mini-studios are the cheapest possible private accommodation in Gangnam, the rooms are very small!

Typically, the mini-studios we provide are located within a 15 minutewalk to the Lexis campus and are a short stroll to a near-endless selection of shops, restaurants and bars.

Full CCTV security systems are in place, along with autolocking doors and on-site security, making mini-studios an ideal option for women travelling alone. Many providers offer 'women only' floors.

While the very competitively priced apartment style accommo-dation in Seoul is attractive to many students, we also offer a homestay service.

Homestay allows students to live with a local family, experience day to day life in Korea and enjoy some amazing food! There is no better way to develop your language skills and learn more about this fascinating country.

As with most Koreans, our homestay families are eager to share their culture with our students, and can introduce you to some of the hidden delights of Seoul.

Some families live in downtown apartments, others in larger homes in the suburbs. In every case, you will be welcomed as a guest to the house and will have the chance to experience the hospitality for which Koreans are so well known.

Homestays are available from KRW 215,000 per week (Homestay B&B) and half-board homestay is about KRW 285,000 per week.

Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.

Located in Gangnam, and convenient to both the school and public transport, the Guest House is a great option for students looking for a quiet, 'at home' atmosphere.

The friendly host always endeavors to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.

Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.
