Our sincere thanks go to all the clients/candidates who took time out of their schedules to participate, the end result being the assembly of verified data, useful as a guide or benchmark, which can bereferenced by employees and employers alike.
2014 saw crude oil price remain relatively stable at $108 on average across Q1-Q3 with a severe decline inQ4 which saw prices fall to $54 per barrel. Nigerian domestic production also showed a slight increasefrom 2.14 mbd [2013] to 2.23 mbd [2014] average across Q1-Q4, with stable production sustaininggrowth in recruitment and allowed for movement of professionals.
On average, companies in the Oil & Gas sector continued to rely less on expatriate workers in 2014 andinstead focused more on identifying and recruiting qualified Nigerian talent from the local andinternational talent pool. We predict that this trend will continue into 2015 as local content requirementscoupled with cost reduction initiates will see more expatriates being replaced by qualified Nigerians.

7/21/2019 2015 Nigeria Oil & Gas Salary Survey - ETR
8/10
In general, the industry has offered very attractive remuneration for employees from Q1 Q4 of 2014 with optimism for growth in both opportunities and compensation projectedfor 2015.
With the oil majors pushing operations deepwater, a whole new wave of skill sets arerequired to support their exploration and production activities. This has seen a demand for
specialized personnel with high technical expertise and has also revealed a serious skillshortage within several disciplines. This skill shortage can be addressed by trainings orattachment of a qualified Nigerian understudy to an expatriate with that work function.
Our position as the leading Oil & Gas and Power recruiting agency in the Nigerian markethas allowed unique access to both employers and employees, and with constantengagement, shown their challenges and wins in our dynamic industry. We hope tocontinually share information and solutions beneficial to the overall growth of the sectorand will again like to thank everyone for being part of this first step.
