PAGEANT ENTRY FORM AND RULES

RULES and REGULATIONS 1. This is a natural pageant...no spray tans, fake nails, lashes, light appropriate makeup and hairstyles are acceptable. No reason to go over the top...Just be YOU!

2. No geographical limitations. The pageant is open to all children ages 0-17 years.

3. Valid certification of age may be required.

4. The decision of the judges is final.

5. This pageant does not issue individual score sheets.

6. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated by contestants, parents or others in attendance. Please be aware that any rude or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disqualification and dismissal from the pageant.

7. Contestants must have never been married or had children.

8. Dressing rooms will be available and open by 9:00 a.m. Bring extension cords if needed!

9. Teen Miss, Junior Miss and our Grand Supreme Orchard Queen will be required to be available during the Apple Festival Parade. If they are unable to fulfill their duties and responsibilities, the first runner-up will become Queen.

10. Contestants should be available for an orientation session Friday, August 7, 2015 at 6:30 PM at Northland College Theater. We will give information on the interview, clothing choices, requirements during the parade and answer any questions you may have. Press will be there for photos and coverage as well!

THE PAGEANT DETAILS

Choice Wear / Introduction: Contestants 3-7 years (Tiny Miss) will have our spokesperson introduce them. Mom or Dad (not both) is asked to escort the child on stage. Contestants 8-12 years (Young Miss) will have our spokesperson introduce them. However will be alone on stage. Contestants 13-17 years (Junior Miss) will introduce themselves as this helps with self-assurance and poise. Each contestant will first appear on stage in beauty wear of their choice! We want to see who YOU are! Like a sports team? Wear something to do with that, whatever you are most comfortable in. This will be your introduction to the judges and audience. There will be an “X” at four different spots and you will stop at each one and do a turn or curtsy whatever you would like but please no jumping or kicking. This introduction will only be 45 seconds. And you will then proceed off the stage to get ready for you next category.

Talent or Theme Wear: The time allowed is three minutes. You do not have to use that much time if you do not want to! Our theme this year is “Apples,” planting, growing, cooking, decorating anything you can come up with that relates to apples would be your theme, use your imagination!!! You must provide your own music. Props are allowed, but you must be able to move props quickly on and off stage to keep the show going. You can wear costume makeup if it goes with your outfit and hairpieces.

Formal Wear: You will have one minute to model you formal gown. During this piece we will have our announcer to introduce you back on the stage. Beauty wear can be custom made or off the rack. Shoes required for all contestants, age appropriate please! For ages 8 and younger – you may wear any length but please no midriff showing. Ages 9 and above must have a longer gown. (Nothing above the knee).

CROWNING: Crowning will follow the formal wear. We will start with Apple Dumplings and work our way up. We will be inviting all contestants on stage during the crowning for each division. No double crowning.

ATTENTION!!!! WE NEED A PHOTO OF EVERY CONTESTANT WITH YOUR ENTRY FORM AND FEE FOR OUR PAGEANT BOOK! EVERY CONTESTANT WILL BE FEATURED IN THIS PUBLICATION!

PHOTOS: Photos will be returned at orientation and/or at the pageant.
