Forrest’s Family Fun Center and Silver City Skating Club would like to invite all skaters, parents, and coaches to The 2015 Thanksgiving Invitational to be held at Forrest Family Fun Center located at One Lawton Avenue (Route 138) Taunton, MA 02780. The rink has a 90’ x 190’ coated skating surface. The facility has been updated to help make your time spent with us more enjoyable. Our new snack bar will be serving a wide selection of foods throughout the meet. There will a MEET AND GREET Artistic Session on Friday, November 27th from 7:00 – 9:30PM with live organ music by Billy Fellows. Admission will be $10.00. Our Host Hotel is the: Courtyard Marriott and use Code: Forrest’s Family Fun Center. Our Special Thanksgiving room rate is $109.00 per night. Book your room before November 8th to receive this rate. All rooms are Queen doubles. Rooms are blocked for Friday, November 27th, and Saturday, November 28th. If you are staying Sunday evening this rate will apply. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - REQUIREMENTS:

Skaters may enter those official events in which they are eligible to compete in at the 2015-16 Regional Championships.

Primary, Juvenile, Elementary, Freshman and Sophomore division skaters may also

Challenge UP one division.

Crossovers will be allowed between Classic, Novice, Esquire, Masters, Veterans, and Golden divisions as age permits.

Senior and Junior World Class Solo and Team Dance will skate their compulsory dances. Free

Dance will be optional. Senior and Junior World Class Singles and Pairs events will skate both their short and long programs.

When an event becomes a final without elimination, the elimination requirements will be

skated. All Team and Solo Dance Events with 10 or less skaters registered will be skated as a final event.

Skating times for all singles, pairs, free dance and solo creative dance events will be observed in accordance with USA Roller Skating 2015-2016 published requirements.

All skaters must have a valid 2015 amateur card on file at the National Office.

Newcomer Program – We will be following the Newcomer program that was used at the

NE Regional’s. Application and Waiver forms will be available in the packet. Please submit your application and SIGNED waiver form in the packet. Entree fee’s will be $10.00 per event.

This program is a three (3) year program. The first year starts the year the skater competes in any competitive event, Invitational or regional. The region will keep track of the new skater. Newcomer events are for first year skaters. Age divisions will follow groupings designated by USA Roller Sports. Novice age group will be for skaters age 18 and up. Coaches Please Note: this program is for brand new skaters only as opposed to skaters who have never skated the event before. COACHES PLEASE NOTE: There is an assessment fee of $10.00 per event. **The Sub Freestyle will use the same age division as Intro Freestyle. Requirements are: 5 Jumps, 2 Spins, 1 Footwork section. Single revolution jumps only. Spins will require 3revolutions. Upright and sit spins only. No camels. Maximum routine time is 2:00. Vocal music will be allowed for all beginner event program numbers. QUARTET AND PRECISON: Official Application There are two (2) age groups for both events. 12 & Under and 13 & over. Quaretet routine times is 2:00 minutes max. + or minus 10 seconds.
