REBUILDING LIVESLove Thy Neighbor | Nebraska [4:02]Last year, the Wallace Community Church congregation (about 40 regular attendees) gave more than $19,000 to the Great Commission Fund. But their heart for missions didn’t stop there. With others’ help and donations, they are building a brand new home for a couple who lost theirs to a flood this summer. In the process, two people have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and a community has been united.
RESTORING HOPEA Love Like This | Koutiala Hospital in Mali [2:41]As a young child, Oumar in Mali had a large tumor growing on his chin and jaw. Abu, Oumar’s dad, had done everything to help his son, but nothing worked. He then heard about the Alliance’s Koutiala Hospital and knew help was on the way. When Oumar and his mom, Sétou, came to Koutiala for treatment, the medical team prayed for them countless times and shared Bible stories. Oumar accepted Jesus as his Savior, and later, both his parents, Abu and Sétou, also decided to follow Christ.
HEALING THE SICKHope for Hope | CAMA in Guinea [4:48]Loving others as Christ loves us is challenging. Workers from Compassion and Mercy Associates (CAMA) in Guinea, West Africa, know this firsthand after experiencing a particularly difficult year in 2014. CAMA’s Hope Clinic in Guinea had to close its doors for six months due to the Ebola outbreak, and one of its co-founders was murdered while teaching people how to prevent the disease from spreading. And yet, these setbacks have strengthened the staff’s resolve to carry out their mission of hope.
The Alliance invites you and all its churches to participate in a year-end offering October through December when 40–60 percent of all charitable giving occurs. Our research shows
that people in the Alliance family give to an average of five causes, and we want one of them to be the 2015 Year-End Offering: WE WILL LOVE.
