Club History Formed in 1946, and playing at Hough End Fields on Princess Road, Withington,
Wythenshawe Town were originally known as North Withington FC, but were eventually
re-named in 1987; after a few seasons at their new ground in Wythenshawe. The ground was
named Ericstan Park as a tribute to Eric Reynard and Stan Orme who were prime movers in
the club's early days.
After a long period in the Lancashire and Cheshire League the club joined the Manchester
League in 1974. In 2014, Wythenshawe moved from the Manchester League to the Cheshire
League 2, a league with representatives from Altrincham, Witton Albion and West Didsbury &
Chorlton.
Wythenshawe Town Football Club senior section now has two teams in the Cheshire League,
one in the Cheshire U21 League and one in the Manchester Sunday League. Lee McGregor
took charge of the squad in the pre-season preceding the 2014/15 season and led them to
Quadruple glory in his first season picking up the League Title, League Cup, Altrincham FA
Senior Cup and the Manchester FA Amateur Cup in the season. The first team now play in the
Cheshire League 1.
Development Plans Buying a season ticket sees you become part of the Wythylution. The club have huge
ambitions and you can join the journey. The coming season will see the expansion of the junior
teams set up at Wythenshawe Town, which will increase chances to play football for kids in
Wythenshawe.
Ericstan Park has undergone minor ground redevelopment but there is much more to come
very soon with new stands being put in place. The club will be plying their trade in Cheshire
League 1 next season, there’ll be a whole host of established Cheshire League sides coming
to Ericstan Park.
The club’s main ambition is to join the NWCFL which is a semi-pro league which provides a
huge stepping stone for the club, allowing us to potentially join nationwide competitions such
as the FA Vase and FA Cup, so you can start the Wythylution by buying your season tickets and
helping the club on it’s journey up the pyramid. Email [email protected] to

Season Tickets Supporters are the driving force behind the club and we want them to share and take part in
the successes and development of the club. Manager Lee McGregor had his say on the
season tickets.
“We seen some fantastic turnouts at games this season and the feedback has always been
excellent, our support last season was unrivalled by all at this level and it’s something we take
pride in. We have a tremendous set up here, from the facilities to our programme. Getting as
many season ticket holders will be vital to the club, the funds allow the club to progress
massively but also gives the players a massive boost on matchdays. Wythenshawe is a place
which has been deprived of a high standard football club and we believe we’re going to
provide that to the community.
The things going on behind the scenes will help the club so much going forward. What’s also
great about these season tickets is that the club have made them so affordable, so get behind
the team in 2015/16 for hopefully yet another successful season. To get your season ticket,
just email [email protected]”.
