LiftMaster moves to Hendrick Motorsports #5 team to sponsor Kahne for three races in 2015 (11-20-2014). Matt McCall named the new crew chief for McMurray (11-18-2014). Keith Rodden will be heading back to Hendrick Motorsports as Kasey Kahne's crew chief on the #5 (11-9-2014). McDonald's and Cessna will return in 2015 and will increase the number of races they sponsor. (10-15-2014) Ganassi extended McMurray's contract in August of 2013, at least for the 2014 season, looks like that extends into 2015. McDonald's was the primary sponsor for 13 races in 2014, no word if they return in 2015. Cessna / Textron returned in 2014 as the primary sponsor for 10 races. Liftmaster is signed thru 2014 and has been the primary sponsor for one race a year (7-30-2014). Keith Rodden came over from Hendrick as the crew chief for the 2014 season.

Realtree and Bad Boy Buggies were the co-primary sponsor at Bristol in March(3-7-2014). Main primary sponsors in 2014 were Dow Chemical (16 races), Cheerios, Bass Pro Shops and American Ethanol, no word if they return, but supposedly the deals were multiyear. Gil Martin was the crew chief and is expected back in 2014. The team changed from #29 to #3 for 2014.

Crew chief Jimmy Fennig will not move to this team after the 2014 season, he will retire as a crew chief and work in RFR's shop (9-10-2014). Fennig could move over from the #99 team when Edwards leaves to be the crew chief (7-24-2014). Roush Fenway Racing announced in May 2014 that it will again field its iconic #6 Sprint Cup entry in the 2015 NASCAR season, with Trevor Bayne driving the car with full multi-year primary partnership from AdvoCare (5-24-2014). No word if Roush will run Bayne in a few 2014 races to build up some team attempts. The #6 sat out the 2013 & 2014 seasons. The #6 last ran during the 2012 season with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. running four races. The team last ran full-time in 2011 with David Ragan.

Stanley Tools will leave at end of 2014 and sponsor #19-Edwards for 12 races with Stanley and #20-Kenseth for 6 races with DeWalt (9-17-2014). Marcos Ambrose will leave at the end of 2014 and head back to his homeland, Australia and run for Penske in SuperV8 Series there (9-15-2014). No word on a replacement yet, some rumors include David Ragan and Stan Hornish Jr (9-15-2014). Stanley Tools (Black & Decker, DeWalt, Mac Tools), supposedly leaving and going to the new #19 Joe Gibbs Racing team with Carl Edwards. If Ambrose doesn't return, two drivers in the rumor mill include Ragan and Hornish Jr. (9-5-2014). Marcos Ambrose is a free-agent after the 2014 season, and there were rumors he will go back to his homeland in Australia and run a SuperV8 team that Penske could partner up with.(5-25-2014).

Gibbs said that sponsorship for most of the other 19 races that ARRIS will not be the primary sponsor have been sold and will be announced at a later date (8-19-2014). Still only rumored as of 7-30-2014, Edwards will supposedly sign with Joe Gibbs Racing to run a car for a fourth team. No word on a sponsor or a car number. Past car numbers JGR has used for their 4th part-time team include: #02, #80 and #81. Supposedly only Subway will be allowed to leave Roush Fenway Racing and go with Edwards. 3M will move from the #16 Roush Fenway Racing Ford of Greg Biffle to the #24 for 11 races in 2015, thru 2017 (8-12-2014). AARP's Drive to End Hunger will return in 2014, being the sponsor for 13 races (down from 20), including the Daytona 500 (8-8-2014). Gordon is on a lifetime deal with Hendrick. Gordon says while thinking of retirement but he plans to race at least 2-3 years more. Axalta is signed thru 2016 for 10 races a year, Panasonice back for two races and supposedly Pepsi is signed thru 2015 to be the sponsor for two races. Crew chief Alan Gustafson is signed thru 2014 but expect him to return. Gordon is signed to a long term 'lifetime' deal with Hendrick, and Gordon says he plans to drive at least a couple more years.

Roush will not run a fourth team in 2015. #99 team owners points will go to the #6 team and Trevor Bayne in 2015. Crew chief Jimmy Fennig will retire from crew chiefing and work in the shop for Roush (9-7-2014). RFR announced the team will run 3-cars in 2014 with #6-Bayne, #16-Biffle & #17-Stenhouse Jr. Edwards will not return to Roush Fenway Racing in 2015, supposedly going to Joe Gibbs Racing's 4th team. Fastenal will go to the #17 team of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in 2015. No word where Subway, Aflac or Kellogg's may go or if they will stay with a RFR team (7-30-2014). UPS will leave the sport after the 2014 season (12-13-2013).
