How to Reduce Air Pollution

Air pollution is bad for our health. It can cause cancer and damage to the immune, neurological, reproductive and respiratory systems. Therefore, we should do our part to prevent air pollution.

One way is by using our cars less. We could car pool with our neighbours. We could also take the bus, train or LRT to get to our destination. If your destination is only a short distance, you could just walk or cycle.

Another way is changing our buying habits. You could cook your own meals instead of buying canned food. In addition, for grocery shopping, bring a cloth recycling bag. Try to go for items with less packaging. You should also adopt the practice of reuse, recycle and reduce in your life as much as possible.

Thirdly, try to find ways to conserve energy. Minimise the use of lights by setting up your work or study space near a window that gets bright light all day. This will ensure you do not switch the lights on.

Finally, unplug your electrical appliances when not in use. Do not take long hot showers or baths as that too takes a lot of energy.

In conclusion, we should do our part in reducing air pollution. We should try to use cars less, change our buying habits and find ways to save energy. All these will go a long way in making our air cleaner.

Many students study all by themselves instead of studying in a group. Now, do you realise that

the greatest thing about a study groupis that it is very practical? A study group may consist of three to

five people in a group.

One of the perks of studying in a group is information can be shared. The members of the group

can share their ideas and knowledge with each other. It helps to save time looking for information thus it

would also reduce anxiety.Sharing your ideas will help you to become active and confident.

Secondly, joining a study group encourages you to be a responsible person. When you are in

group, everyone is given different parts or tasks to do. As a member of the group, you will try your best

to look for the information needed and by doing so, you will be more focused and determined. The

determination to gain the correct informationwill further push yiou to be more responsible. Therefore, it is

always a good idea to have a study group as everyone will have a role to play.

Thirdly, study group promotes communicative ability. Being a member of a study group requires

one to to meet up with others and have regular discussions. Face-to-face conversations and exchanges

of notes, e-mails and short text messages are some good examples of communication. Apart from that,

it allows everyone to socialise and connect indirectly.

Some may believe that studying in a group is a waste of time. However, it is important to

establish the fact that many students have excelled in their examination thanks to their study groups.

This is because they are able to sit down together and share their opinions with others.
