Dear Friends,

As we stand on the cusp of Third Millennium Ministries’ 20th year of operation, I continue to be tremendously humbled by the sheer number of people who have partnered with us to bring biblical education to church leaders around the world for FREE.

By God’s grace, Third Millennium Ministries has grown from a friend and me working in the extra bedroom of my home to a ministry involving people from all over the world. Third Millennium is no longer a small non-profit organization headquartered in Orlando; we are an international network of partners committed to raising up a new generation of well-equipped church leaders so that every Christian can have a well-trained pastor.

We have now entered the third phase of our ministry. The Holy Spirit has led us through earlier phases where we focused on demonstrating it is possible to produce a free, seminary-level curriculum and increasing the efficiency of our production. In phase three, we are concentrating on saturating the globe with our curriculum so seminary education is within reach of every Christian around the world. We are actively engaging over 114 partner ministries, producing our seminary curriculum in new languages, and freely distributing it at every level of technology imaginable. We are well on our way to reaching our goal of 100 million supervised students around the world.

There have been many friends who have prayed for and supported us through the years. I thank you for your generosity. I am more grateful for you than you can imagine. And to all those who have yet to join us in this critical global mission, I hope that this annual report encourages you to catch the vision. Third Mill is impacting the global church, and we hope you will join us in this service to our King and His church around the world.

Our Global Opportunities Team (GO Team for short) is our new initiative and is responsible for increasing the distribution and enhancing the use of our curriculum all over the world. The GO Team focuses on forming partnerships with individuals, churches, and missionary organizations to distribute our curriculum and to train people in how to use our materials.

Since 2012, Third Millennium Ministries has partnered with Birmingham Theological Seminary (BTS) to provide a free Certificate in Christian Ministry to anyone outside of the United States who completes the Third Millennium curriculum through BTS.

FIVE-YEAR PARTNERSHIP with Birmingham Theological Seminary

GLOBAL

In January, Third Mill’s Vice President of Strategic Development, Len Hardison, and one of our ministry partners traveled to Cuba to visit various groups that are using Third Mill’s curriculum. Their time at Los Pinos Nuevos Seminary and in the city of Santa Clara were among the most encouraging.

Los Pinos Nuevos has been using our curriculum for the past three years. One of their goals is to train indigenous church leaders to lead the next generation of Christians. Cubans rarely leave the town where they were born, so having these indigenous leaders come to the seminary is not an option. Instead, Los Pinos distributes our courses to the pastors in rural parts of Cuba so they can receive a quality biblical education without leaving their community. When they met with a group studying Third Mill at a church in Santa Clara, everyone was speaking simultaneously about how much Third Mill meant to them. One man in his mid-70s said, “I would never have dreamed I could have gotten this kind of education at my age. And I don’t have to go anywhere! I have a Ph.D. in my living room.”

Stephen Spanjer (pictured on left), a missionary based in Germany, taught at a conference in Nairobi, Kenya, in October. At this conference, Stephen and his brother Bill gave away 150 USBs filled with Third Mill’s English curriculum and the attendees were exposed to doctrinal truth. Conference attendees started watching Third Mill lessons that same day. After the conference, the organizers received many calls thanking them for the USBs and asking profound questions about the lessons they had been watching.

WYCLIFFE ASSOCIATES& THE FREE STUDY BIBLEMany Christians are in need of a study Bible in their own language. Unfortunately, the study Bibles currently available are heavily copyrighted and, as a result, the international church cannot legally translate them. This need has prompted us to begin creating a FREE study Bible that will be available to everyone.

Through a partnership with Wycliffe Associates, this study Bible will be made available in the public domain, translated into multiple languages, and distributed worldwide. Wycliffe Associates accelerates Bible translation around the world by empowering national translators and equipping the local church to translate God’s Word into every language. Because of Wycliffe’s expertise in Bible translation and our expertise in theological education, this partnership is a perfect fit. The potential impact of this project for God’s kingdom is greater than we can imagine.

The Argentine Bible Society (ABS), an arm of United Bible Societies, provides Bibles and other resources to a network of 13,000 churches. They also provide the pastors in their network with biblical curriculum. Through a formal partnership with The Grace Institute, ABS is building learning centers throughout the country where people can gather, study Third Millennium’s lessons, and participate in the Teleios program.

Teleios is the learning experience offered by ABS to pastors and church leaders of Argentina where they can participate in studies consisting of, but not limited to, Third Millennium Ministries’ curriculum. Through Teleios, they will watch Third Millennium lessons and go through study guides. Their goals are 1,000 registered and trackable students studying through the Teleios program and expanding this model to the countries surrounding Argentina.
