The Largest & most important

Mining Expo in Mongolia

Coal, copper, and gold are the principal reserves

mined in Mongolia. Several gold mines are located

about 110 kilometres north of Ulaanbaatar, such

as Boroo Gold Mine and Gatsuurt Gold Mine.

Khotgor Coal Mine is an open-pit coal mining site

about 120 kilometres west of Ulaangom. South of

Mongolia is home to large scale mining projects

such as the Tavan Tolgoi coal mine and the Oyu

Tolgoi copper mine. Oyu Tolgoi is one of the world's

largest new copper-gold mines and is located in the

South Gobi region of Mongolia, approximately 550

km south of the capital, Ulaanbaatar, and 80 km

north of the Mongolia-China border.

The Latest Mongolia Mining news that Turquoise

Hill Resources, Rio Tinto and the Government of

Mongolia continue to work together with the aim of

resolving the remaining shareholder matters and

finalizing project finance to further develop the

underground mine at Oyu Tolgoi.

Mongolia Mining is the largest and most important mining expo in Mongolia. The main orgnizer of the event, Minex Mongolia LLC is aleading expo organizer and networking firm of Mongolia.The company has successfully organized a numbernetworking events and expos in mining, construction andenergy sectors in the past along with relative ministries ofMongolia, Mongolian National Chamber of Commerceand Industry and other public and private entities.

Mongolia Mining 2016 will be held at Buyant Ukhaa Sports Palace.Mongolia Mining kept being held in this sports venue, since it firstmoved in 2014, as it is the largest indoor space in the country. Openedin December 2010 the Sports Palace offers 3,000 square metres ofcovered space with a 14 metre high ceiling and over 10,000 squaremetres of secure outside space and parking for 500 cars. During theexhibition build up and show days the centre will be serviced by aregular shuttle bus service to and from down town Ulaanbaatar.
