answer.

• About 2/3 of candidates could arrange the four elements in the correct decreasing order of electrical conductivity.

• Some failed to recognise that Na and Al have giant metallic structures or Si has a giant covalent structure.

• Some wrongly stated that Na has a higher electrical conductivity than Al because Na is more reactive, and the Na atom loses the outermost electrons more easily.
