About ITOP Forum

- Develop tourism policies to generate more wealth of the local communities.

- Develop various common tourism products of islands through practical exchange and cooperation among member regions.

- Pursue economic development and globalization of the island communities to improve their living standards while promoting inter-island exchanges through sustainable tourism development

Samda Park Night Flea MarketIt is a very special kind of summer night shopping experience in Shinjeju Rotary Samda Park, Jeju. The event is held every Friday for eight weeks starting at 7 p.m. from first Friday in July and includes stalls, live music, food, drink and other attractions.

Geumneung Euddeum BeachGeumneung Euddeum Beach is one of the best beaches on Jeju island, located next to “Hyeopjea Beach” and across the road from Hallim Park. This beach boasts a crystal clear water and white soft sand.

Shurijo Castle ParkShurijo Castle had been the kings’ castle after the unification of Ryukyu Kingdom. It became the center of the politics, diplomacy and culture during Ryukyu Kingdom Era. this is the largest wooden building in Okinawa at this moment.

Okinawa Churaumi AquariumUnder the concept of “encountering the waters of Okinawa,” the aquarium is home to around 740 species and 21,000 marine life and visited by more than 3 million people each year. In the “Kuroshio Sea,” which is one of the largest tanks in the world, 8.6-meter long whale sharks as well as reef manta rays swim about leisurely.

Waikiki Waikiki is the Hawaii 's biggest tourist attraction with its beautiful stretch of oceanfront beach. A suburb of Honolulu, Waikiki is easy to reach and offers all the amenities and entertainment of a modern city. At the end of the crescent shaped beach is the extinct volcano known as Diamond Head Crater, adding a spectacular backdrop to the incredible sun drenched beach.

Haleakala National ParkLocated on Maui, Haleakala National park offers access to the inactive Haleakala Volcano which stands at over 10,000 feet. Views from the summit stretch across the entire island and are particularly beautiful at sunrise. The dormant crater is also exposed, showing a lunar-like landscape.

The Polynesian Cultural Center

The Polynesian Cultural Center is a living museum located in Hawaii. The park has a range of exhibitions and demonstrations during the day. The park has its very own IMAX theater as well as a lagoon where tourists can paddle canoes under the guidance of experienced guides.

Zanzibar Butterfly CenterThe Zanzibar Butterfly Centre (ZBC) is a tourist attraction in Zanzibar. Approximately 400-600 butterflies live in a richly vegetated aviary, about 30 x 20 m tall. It is a project of sustainable tourism, because the revenue generated from entrance fees give the local population in the vicinity of the butterfly centre an alternative and environmentally friendly source of income, contributing to poverty alleviation in the region of Pete.

House of WondersThe House of Wonders or Palace of Wonders is a landmark building in Stone Town, Zanzibar. It is the largest and tallest building of Stone Town and occupies a prominent place facing the Forodhani Gardens on the old town's seafront, in Mizingani Road. The House of Wonders currently houses the Museum of History & Culture of Zanzibar & the Swahili Coast.

Sautiza Busara FestivalThe Sauti za Busara music festival is a six-day cultural extravaganza held annually in Zanzibar in the middle of February. Immensely popular with Tanzanians as well as visitors to the region, the festival offers a rich and vibrant mix of styles including traditional events.

Rawai VillageVenture out to this small village to glimpse the lifestyle of the Moken, a tribe of "sea gypsies". Phuket Big Buddha The huge image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata at 45 metres tall. From the top of the hill you are able to get a panoramic view of the island. Close up to the image itself, it is very peaceful and the only noises you will hear are the tinkling of small bells and the yellow Buddhist flags in the compound fl apping in the wind.

Fort San Pedro Built in 1565 under the command of Miguel López de Legazpi, conqueror of the Philippines, Fort San Pedro has served as an army garrison, a rebel stronghold, prison camp and the city zoo. These days it’s retired as a peaceful, walled garden and handsomely crumbling ruin.

Magellan’s CrossMagellan’s Cross is a Christian cross planted by Portuguese and Spanish explorers as ordered by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines on March 15. 1521. This cross now housed in a chapel, just in front of the city center of Cebu City.

Taoist TempleThe temple was built by Cebu's substantial Chinese community. The temple is the center of worship for Taoism, the religion which follows the teachings of the ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Zi. A ritual among devotees is where one prays to the gods to grant one's wish.

Penang HillPenang Hill is the oldest British hill station in Southeast Asia, dated late 1700’s. The Penang Hill funicular train track stretches a distance of 1,996 metres (1.99KM) from lower to Upper Station which is the longest in Asia and the steepest tunnel track in the world.

St. Dunstan's BasilicaThis is the Cathedral of the Diocese of Charlottetown in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The current stone structure was rebuilt in 1916 after a fire and is located on Great George Street, between the harbour and the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

Confederation Centre of the ArtsThis is a cultural centre dedicated to the visual and performing arts located in the city of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. It started in 1960 and Queen Elizabeth II officially opened it to the public on October 6, 1964.

This temple is located in Ampil commune, K a m p o n g C h a m p r o v i n c e . I t w a s built in the late 12th century and early 13th by King Jayvarman 7 in the Bayon style and dedicated to the Mahayana Buddhism.

Koh Pen Koh Pen is an island in the midst Mekong River. Pen Island is a tourist destination showed people living along the river. Pen Island residents living crop depending on the farmers, fisherman and some traditional craft occupations. Local people boat through a long bamboo bridge across the Mekong River in the dry season.

Teuk Chha Resort This area has the potential attractions including temples and irrigation agriculture, the majority of visitors to popular diving corals, which flows out of really ground water sources. There also have small dams built since June 13, 2003.

Hanseatic Town of VisbyVisby was the main center of the Hanseatic League in the Baltic from the 12th to the 14th century. The Hanseatic town of Visby was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1995 with the following justification: Visby is an outstanding example of a north European medieval walled trading.

Stora KarlsöStora Karlsö is one of the most interesting natural areas in Sweden and the world´s second oldest conservation area after America’s Yellowstone. With its thousands of sea birds, the island is quite an experience for the birdwatcher. It is also rich in history dating back to the stone age.

Gamla Hamn and Langhammars The harbor, Gamla Hamn on Fårö, is thought to have been used both for fishing and trading during the Middle Ages. Gamla Hamn is now a nature reserve with sea stacks and graves probably dating from the Viking Age. One of the sea stacks has been given many names, including Coffee Pot and Dog.
