people

the team behind the cheese

Editor-in-chief Courtney Hollands has more than a decade of experience writing and editing for magazines, news-

papers, and the web. She started her career as a small-town reporter and has covered everything from fashion and travel to music and beer for Boston magazine, The Boston Globe, The Guardian, and even Rolling Stone. She lives (and drinks craft brews) in Somerville, Mass.

Leigh Belanger stands tall as culture’s food editor. She’s been a food writer, editor, and project manager for over a decade,

serving as program director for Chefs Collaborative and contributing to local newspapers and magazines, where she’s written about whoopie pies, food policy, and cheesemaking chefs. Her irst book, The Boston Homegrown Cookbook, was published in 2012. She lives and cooks with her family in Boston.

Associate editor Rebecca Haley-Park’s background in writing helps her craft a strong voice for culture. When not

writing, eating, or reading about cheese, she’s usually out on a run.

Publisher Stephanie Skinner has launched magazines and media properties for over 25 years. With culture, she

combines her enthusiasm for media and a love of ine food and drink.

Retail director Lassa Skinner is based in Providence, RI, and teaches classes nationally and internationally. With a successful food

retail background, she’s intent on making sure that culture is both helpful and handy for cheese shops, makers, and cheese-related events everywhere.

With more than 20 years of experience in ad sales, national brand manager Rebecca Carrington has represented culture

since the magazine’s second issue. When she’s not talking cheese, she plays bass in a bluegrass and rock band and is a soccer, baseball, and music mom to her two boys.

National brand manager Natalie Herman shares her love of cheese with her family in weekly “Cheese Sundays.” Always excited to

talk ine cheese, food, and drink, she uses her expertise—from almost two decades of representing some of the world’s best magazines from Bon Appetit to Vogue—to help clients succeed and grow their brands.

When he isn’t main taining the impeccable quality of culture’s online content, web editor Grant Bradley likes to write, edit,

and code things. And cheese— he likes to eat a lot of cheese.

Social media manager Amy Fukuizumi loves few things more than writing and cheese. As a testa-ment to these passions, she drove

cross-country to join culture. Her goal is to make the world (digitally) feel this love (and “Like” it a lot).

Cheese-a-holic Molly McDonough joined the culture team as an intern after a stint making cheese in Switzerland. She recently

completed her masters in agriculture and food science in Europe, and now edits our extensive online cheese library and ensures that we have our cheese facts straight.

Brooklyn, NY-based design team Red Herring Design brings to culture a love of food (especially cheese!) and a desire to do

good work. Led by founders Carol Bobolts and Deb Schuler, the irm creates award-winning designs for a wide range of clients.
