History Metropolitan Exposi on Services, Inc. was founded in the June of 2001 with the primary vision of focusing on the word “service” in General Service Contractor. Marty Glynn, Bobby Lee, and Jerry Schreck—Metropolitan Exposi on’s founders and owners—had worked for the two leading general service contractors, risen through the ranks of the companies, and perceived the limited exposi on market of New York as an opportunity.

Friends since childhood, they shared nearly two decades of experience within the industry. More significantly, they shared the small town values ins lled in them from their Ridgefield Park, New Jersey upbringing. Knowledge and experience created the founda on for compe ng, but it has been yesterday’s values—of hard work, determina on, loyalty, fairness, and honesty—that have provided the capacity for surpassing the standards set by their previous employers.

Those values were tested soon a er Metropolitan Exposi-on Services, Inc. was founded, as the company’s first event

opened on September 11, 2001 in the Jacob K. Javits Conven on Center of New York. A na onal tragedy and an economic tsunami for the tradeshow industry, 9/11, result-ed in layoffs and business closures that would have spelled the demise of a less determined company. However, from these discouraging beginnings, Metropolitan Exposi on has grown exponen ally in revenue, inventory, and personnel. Today over 100 full me employees work together to produce over 350 events annually, resul ng in a 98% client reten on rate - that is the true measure of our value!

Locations Metropolitan Exposi on Services, Inc. currently has three offices in the United States, two located in New Jersey and one in Las Vegas, as well as one office in Toronto, Canada. The corporate headquarters is located in Moonachie, New Jersey. The facility is closer to New York City than any of our compe tors allowing for a quick and efficient delivery for any unforeseen emergency.

In 2002, Metropolitan Exposi on Services, Inc. opened a satellite office in Las Vegas. Today, our Las Vegas office is a fully staffed branch office and warehouse.

In 2004, Metropolitan Exposi on opened an office located within the New Jersey Conven on & Exposi on Center in Edison, New Jersey. We are proud to be the “recommended” General Service Contractor for events held at the New Jersey Conven on & Exposi on Center.

In 2011, Metropolitan Exposi on opened an office in Toronto, Canada, marking its first interna onal office. Within 10 years from opening, Metropolitan Exposi on is proud to have offices in both na onal and interna onal loca ons.
