Day 1 Fly UK to Frankfurt – the Rhine – Nürburgring - Frankfurt

This tour starts along the famous Rhine River. After a short visit to Rüdesheim and its famous Drosselgasse street return to your car and continue to Nürburgring. In the afternoon you can experience a real speed legend; the Nordschleife* is one of the most challenging tracks for any motor sports fan. After this adrenaline rush, return to Frankfurt.

Day 2 Frankfurt – Heidelberg – Stuttgart

In the morning travel to Heidelberg. Idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar River and in the afternoon continue to Stuttgart.

Day 3 Stuttgart

Stuttgart is not only home to the headquarters of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, it is also one of the greenest cities in Europe with a beautiful historic centre. Today visit the Mercedes Benz and Porsche Museums.

Day 4 Stuttgart – Füssen

Continue to Füssen and visit the most famous castle in Germany (entrance fee not included); Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II, the famous “Mad King”.

Day 5 Füssen - Oberammergau - Munich

In the morning travel to Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play and lovely crafts. Then continue to Munich and enjoy a panoramic city tour (optional).

Day 6 Munich (Ingolstadt - Munich)

This day is dedicated to the BMW brand. Visit the BMW Museum, one of the most high-tech museums in the world. The museum tells the history of the famous BMW brand and exhibits a collection of automobiles, engines, and motorcycles, as well as some quirky futuristic models. The afternoon is free to indulge in Munich’s wonderful shopping opportunities. Another option is to visit the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt in the afternoon (admission not included).

Day 7 Munich - Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Frankfurt

After breakfast travel to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Romantic Germany. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of this lovely medieval town. Continue to Frankfurt airport where your holiday concludes with your return flight to the UK.

Upon arrival pick up your rental car and travel documentation. Overnight in Frankfurt.

Day 2 Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Freiburg (275 km)

Drive to Heidelberg. Idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar River, Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one of the most popular destinations in the country. If weather conditions allow it, take the scenic Schwarzwald Hochstrasse to Freudenstadt. Your next stop is Freiburg. Overnight in Freiburg.

Day 3 Freiburg - Lake Titisee - Lindau - Füssen (275 km)

Next you travel to Lake Titisee, nestled in the legendary Black Forest. You continue to the small island of Lindau in Lake Constance, which boasts spectacular views of the Alps. Depending on weather conditions you can take the Alpine road from Lindau to Oberstaufen and Immenstadt to your final destination Füssen. Overnight in Füssen.

Day 4 Neuschwanstein - Wieskirche - Oberammergau - Ettal - Garmisch-Partenkirchen (85 km)

Visit the Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II, the notorious “Mad King“. In the afternoon drive to Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play and lovely crafts. Along the way you can visit the Wieskirche Church before continuing to the Ettal

Benedictine Abbey. Today‘s final destination is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany’s winter sports capital and site of the 1936 winter Olympics. Overnight in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Day 5 Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Innsbruck - Linderhof - Munich (250 km)

In the morning drive to Innsbruck. Enjoy this nice city in Austria, located in the Inn valley in the heart of the Alps. In the afternoon drive to Munich, and on the way you have the possibility to visit Linderhof Castle. This is one of the 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Overnight in Munich.

Day 6 Munich

Munich, the capital of the state of Bavaria is famous for its Oktoberfest, which is annually celebrated in September. Overnight in Munich.

Day 7 Munich - Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Frankfurt (435 km)

After breakfast drive to Rothenburg ob der Tauber then continue to Frankfurt airport where you will end your tour with a return flight to the UK.

Day 4 Graz - Lake District - Salzburg (368 km)

Continue to the Lake District where you can ascend Mount Zwölferhorn by cable car to enjoy wonderful views over the Lake Wolfgang. Drive to the city of Salzburg, where the genius composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born. Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 7 Linz - Dürnstein - Melk - Vienna (245 km)

After breakfast continue to the village of Dürnstein, nestled in the heart of the magnificent Wachau Valley. The charming town of Dürnstein offers the unique combination of a breath-taking scenery and traditional architecture. It was in the Kuenringer Castle, whose ruins still overlook Dürnstein, that the English King Richard Lionheart was held prisoner. Drive to Melk for a short visit to the famous Abbey before returning to Vienna airport for your return flight to the UK.

Next, travel to Engelberg where you can take the rotating Rotair cable car to the top of Mount Titlis and its spectacular glacier. Day 4 Interlaken - Bern - Gruyeres - Geneva (244 km)

From Interlaken drive along Lake Thun to Bern, located on the Aare River, overlooking the Alps. Time to visit the city before you continue to Gruyeres, a picturesque village with an impressive medieval castle. Overnight in Geneva.

Day 5 Geneva - Montreux - Zermatt (232 km)

Visit the beautiful parks along the lake, the cathedral and the European headquarters of the UN. Then travel to Lausanne and Montreux with its magnificent Chillon Castle. In the afternoon explore the Rodano river valley as far as Täsch. From here you continue by narrow gauge train to Zermatt, nestled at the foot of mighty Mount Matterhorn. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 6 Zermatt - Nufenen Pass - Zurich (233 km)

In the morning you are free to explore at your leisure. Before returning to Täsch where you continue with your car for a spectacular drive over the high Nufenen mountain pass to Airolo. Next drive to Zurich airport where your journey ends with a return flight to the UK.

Continue your trip to the fairytale castle of Eltz, tucked away in the forest above the left bank of the Moselle. After the visit continue to Cologne. Germany´s fourth-largest city has a long list of sightseeing attractions, led by its famous Cathedral. Overnight in Cologne.

Day 3 Cologne - Bremen (315 km)

Drive from Cologne to Bremen. The picturesque red-brick city will take you from an unusual Art Nouveau street to a quaint district of winding medieval lanes and on to an alternative student quarter, all within minutes. Overnight in Bremen.

Day 4 Bremen - Hamburg (123 km)

After breakfast drive to Hamburg. The city is internationally known for its elegant boulevards, the port, which is the second largest in Europe, and the famous neighbourhood of St Pauli. Overnight in Hamburg.

Day 5 Hamburg - Lübeck - Gothmund - Travemünde - Lübeck (109 km)

This morning drive to Lübeck. The former centre of the powerful Hanseatic League is now merely a provincial city, albeit a very picturesque one. The small Holstentor city gate is quite stunning. On the way you will find Gothmund, a charming village lined with fishermen´s cottages, unchanged throughout time. Travemünde is a popular coastal playground with 4,5 km of sandy beaches. Overnight in Lübeck.

Day 6 Lübeck - Potsdam - Berlin (328 km)

On the way to Berlin we recommend a stop in Potsdam to visit the Sanssouci palace and park. Drive to the main station of Berlin to return your rental car. Overnight in Berlin.

Day 7 Berlin

In the morning you´ll enjoy a regular city tour with audio guides. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Day 3 Baden-Baden - Lake Titi - Freiburg

We recommend you travel after breakfast towards the southern part of the Black Forest, taking the high route through the Black Forest. Stop at Vogtsbauernhof; this open-air museum gives a great overview of the way of life in this region. Then you arrive at Titisee, the glacial lake nestled in the heart of the Black Forest. Here you can make a brief stop at Hofgut Sternen to learn more about the fascinating world of cuckoo clocks. In the afternoon continue to Freiburg. Overnight in Freiburg.
