2016 Sponsorship Details

Vulcan Racing was founded in 2010 by 3 friends who wanted to put something back into club racing. The team ethos is offering value in Motorsport, and we continue to do this we key partnerships from UK suppliers. Peter Burchill & Dan Ludlow our owner drivers campaigning a MGZS and Honda Civic race cars with Tony Stiles supplying the race engineering know how. Tony's has over 20 years of motorsport experience from one make Rover series to Special GT’s. Since team formation we have won titles and classes with all of our cars and supported drivers as part of our team. In 2016 both Peter and Dan return to the PBIC MG Cup sharing the MGZS V6 in which they won the class previously . This year they have stepped up a class and will face stiff competition from more powerful and lighter weight cars. There is nothing like a challenge in motorsport and both Peter and Dan are looking forward to a very competitive years racing at some of the UK’s finest circuits. We look forward to getting back on track after the winter rebuilds with big grids and many battles ahead we cant wait. Vulcan Racing is a none profit making team and relies on the support of sponsors and drivers to fund the teams activities.

The MG Car club is the biggest one make club in the world, with over 55000 paying members receiving the monthly magazine Safety fast which features full race reports. The MG Car Club organise some of the closest race series in the UK, which allows us to visit the best circuits during the racing season. The highlight is MG Live on the famous grand prix circuit in June at which over 700 race cars entertain the crowds over 2 days The MG Cup is the leading series within the club with very tight regulations which pitches old against new machinery making for some spectacular racing with over 30 cars fighting for every inch of tarmac. The cham-pionship is decided over 12 rounds; 3rd April Donington Park DH 30th April/ 1st May Brands Hatch Indy DH 4/5th June Silverstone GP DH... 3rd July Mallory Park DH 7th August Cadwell Park DH 1/2nd October Snetterton DH In addition we will be entering endurance races Presidents Relay Snetterton 4 hour Birkett Relay Silverstone 6 Hour

PINNACLE OF CLUB MG RACING

As a team Vulcan Racing has worked hard with its drivers to ensure that they get the most form their race weekends making sure that guests are catered for and the cars are ready for action at each event. In 2010 Vulcan Won Class B In MGZS MGCC PBIC Championship In 2011 Vulcan Won Class C & Championship MGCC PBIC and 2nd & 3rd in Class B and 3rd in Class F. In 2012 Vulcan Won Class (Caterham r4000 Special GTs series) In 2013 Vulcan secured 3rd in class C, 3rd in class F MGCC Cockshoot cup In 2014 Vulcan secured 2nd in class F whilst Peter recovered from surgery. In 2015 Vulcan won Class F, With the ZS finishing 1st in class in the 6 hour Birkett endurance race. 2015 was a superb recovery year for Peter securing driver of the race and day at Mallory Park with close battles with 12 cars in his class to finish 6th. Work has started on cars as we are aiming to improve in 2016 season. Dan's season highlights including Class Champion in Castle Combe Special GTS and regular podium finishes in CSSC New Millennium Series and Hon-da Vtec challenge. Both Peter and Dan are delighted to be sharing the MG this season and looking to challenge for class and championship position in the Peter Best Insurance (PBIC) MG Cup again. There is nothing better than a race weekend of bumper to bumper action, with all of our drivers being pushed to their limits, knowing that the infrastructure is there to support them. We run the team as a group of friends, not Customers which is the key to our success.

Vulcan Racing is self funded by drivers and we look to our sponsors for support in the running and entry costs, these exclude labour and end of season rebuilds costs. However with out the support of our sponsors we simply could not afford to go racing. We are not looking at touring car or Clio budgets, just support in the running of the car. In return we can offer a package and return on investment that sets a standard for club racers. To run the ZS in the MG Cup for 2016 we have the following budget: Race entries £2500.00 Race Fuel £ 640.00 Transporter fuel £ 640.00 Race Oil £ 200.00 Spares £ 400.00 Tyres Wets x 6 £1020.00 Tyres Dry x 8 £1360.00 Total Cost £6760.00 To run the MG in 2 endurance Races 2016 Presidents 4 hour and Birkett 6 Hour would face an additional cost of £2235.00 2016 budget total £8995.00 Motorsport is a expensive past time, unlike touring cars we are not looking for Tens of thousands, Sponsors make a huge difference to our team and drivers; however it’s never just a sticker on the car. Vulcan ensures that we can offer more to our sponsors so they can see a return on investment made.

We also supplied at cost 2 days track action, tuition and driving at Spa the world’s finest F1 circuit at cost .

We work hard to keep the team at the front of the pack on track and off, social media and publications are key to keeping our profile high. We are active on twitter, Facebook our own website together with many forums.

We have featured in Autosport, Motorsport News, Safety Fast and MG Enthusiast magazines. Peter team principle always ensures that press photographers are well looked after and that we get great promo images.

We are not shy of the camera’s and by special invitation have taken part in Motors TV races showcasing our talents to audiences that would could not reach by printed media alone. Vulcan Racings aim is to gain as much publicity as possible, by running a friendly team who are happy to help others we have a great reputation within club racing and we are more than happy to help others on their Journey through motorsport. Hence the team mantra offering fellow club racers value in motorsport.

News & Charity Events

From our continued support of the Stroke Association Supercar Saturday event we have been able to raise mon-ey for this worthy cause . The team have supported this event since 2008 and encourage our sponsors to attend. We have leant the team ZS to BTCC leg-end Anthony Reid and from this had the pleasure of Co-driving with Antho-ny at MG Live at Silverstone. Team cars are also used by sponsors at National Events, this year Toyo used the teams Civic on their stand at Jap Fest. This is a great chance for club racers to give something back.

Vulcan Racing took the team ZS for 2 days at Spa with RMA track days. This was organised for as part of sponsorship package allowing a sponsor to be driven and drive a front run-ning race car on the world’s best GP Circuits.
