Prof Ian Hickie Professor Ian Hickie, AM is a psychiatrist and prominent mental health campaigner. He is a former NHMRC Australia

Fellow heading the University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre as a Co-Director for Health and Policy, and is one of Australia's first National Mental Health Commissioners. Professor Hickie is an internationally renowned researcher in clinical psychiatry and a leading voice on mental health issues, with a special interest in youth mental health, and the prevention of and early intervention in emerging mood disorders. He has been instrumental in using clinical, health

services and population health data to drive innovations in health services, particularly in primary care. In partnership with Professor Patrick McGorry, he has been at the forefront of developing the youth mental health service headspace:

the National Youth Mental Health Foundation.

Ms Jacinta Hawgood Jacinta Hawgood has worked at AISRAP (Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention) since 2000. She is a

fully registered, Clinically Endorsed, Psychologist (APHRA) and Senior Lecturer, Program and Course Convenor for the Graduate Certificate in Suicide Prevention and Master of Suicidology Programs, which she jointly developed with Professor Diego De Leo in 2001. She has delivered suicide prevention skills training workshops and seminars since

2000 and has worked extensively in the development, implementation and evaluation of online suicide prevention training and education. Jacinta has specialist clinical and research interest in suicide risk assessment. Jacinta has

worked on a number of research projects and consultancies for Wesley Mission (LifeForce), SANE Australia, Department of Veteran Affairs, Mates in Construction, Suicide Prevention Australia, Roses in the Ocean, Australian

Psychological Society, Queensland Corrective Services, and Commonwealth Department of Health.

Dr Kairi Kõlves Dr Kairi Kõlves is a Principal Research Fellow and Course Convener at the Australian Institute for Suicide Research

and Prevention (AISRAP), Griffith University. She has been working in suicide research and prevention since 1998. Dr Kõlves has been involved in several Australian, Estonian and international projects and has been an adviser to the

World Health Organization. Her research has been published in over 70 peer-reviewed papers, a number of book chapters and numerous reports on suicide research and prevention (her SCOPUS h-index is 15). In 2010, she was the

winner of the Life Award for Emerging Research in Australia. Her research expertise Epidemiology of suicidal behaviour, Youth suicidal behaviour, Alcohol in suicidal process and Cross-cultural comparisons of suicide.
