Childcare for children 6 months-6 years is provided in our kid friendly Barnyard,

and is included with the purchase of an annual

Each membership includes:• Access to state of the art fitness equipment including three lane walking/jogging track, a variety of cardio and strength machines, free weights and much more. • New members are required to complete a liability waiver upon purchase and youth members under age 18 must have a liability waiver completed by a parent/guardian.• Memberships are valid from the date of purchase to end of the purchase period (one month, three months or annual).• Membership cards are non-transferable. Only the person whose photo appears on the membership card will be allowed to use it. Violation of this policy will result in suspension and/or forfeiture of membership without a refund. • Members are responsible for notifying Recreation Center staff of lost or stolen membership cards as soon as possible. Members will not be held responsible for unauthorized use after notification.• Membership cards must be presented at the front desk before participating in any activity, and must be available when ever asked by a staff member to present.• Membership cards reported lost will be cancelled and will no longer be eligible for use. A replacement card will be issued after a $5 replacement fee is paid.

MULTIpURpOSE ROOMSThe Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center features 5,400 square feet of versatile meeting space and is ideal for meetings, receptions, birthday parties, weddings and other events. Guests have the option of using the entire meeting space as one room or splitting the area into separate rooms (up to four individual rooms). Access to a commercial kitchen and a variety of audio/visual equipment is also available. Each room is adjacent to an outdoor patio and small pond with a beautiful fountain, creating an inviting and tranquil setting. 1. If you have already registered for a course/ special event, or visited the Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center and set up your account, click on “Log In” button, select “Forgot Password” and enter in the email you used to set up your account. This will send you a link where you can set up the password you want to use. If you do not have an account, click “Create New Account” and complete process. Make sure to add all family members in your household who plan to register for a program or special event. 2. Once you have your log in information, you can proceed to find your course/special event in the programs tab or typing in the code listed into the “Barcode Search.”3. Under your selected code, select “Show Courses” to view the program schedule and availability. Select “Add to Cart” on the right hand side if your course is available. Continue shopping and add additional courses, then select “Proceed to Checkout.” You can then have the receipt emailed to you, or print it out.

Aquatic Facility Operator-AFO (Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center)Age: 18 yrs+The Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Course is a two day training program and is designed to meet the needs of those working in public and semi-public recreational pool or water park facilities. The AFO Course offers unique discussions on risk management and pool management as well as training in proper water chemistry, water chemistry challenges and solutions. The “G.L.A.M.” Club - Girls Leadership and Mentoring Program Age: 7-11 yrs G.L.A.M. Pearls, 12-18 yrs G.L.A.M. Diamonds“The G.L.A.M. club” is a girl’s empowerment program that will equip girls through mentoring, social skills, and leadership. Sessions are held every other Friday. Heartsaversm CPR AED CourseAge: 10+The American Heart Association (AHA) course is designed to prepare a wide variety of people who, as first responders, may need to perform CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (AED) or help someone who is choking. This is a healthcare provider CPR approved course; however, you do not have to be in the healthcare profession to take this course. A completion card is awarded to those who complete\demonstrate the skills and written tests. *Workbooks are required. Completion cards will not be issued if the student does not have a workbook. Other services available include a transportation program available to and from the Senior Center for Cedar Hill residents who have no means of transportation and a variety of monthly programming. PAVILION RENTALSCity parks are a great place to celebrate, whether it is a birthday party, family reunion or just a picnic in the park. There are 15 covered pavilions that can be rented at various parks throughout the city. Rental fees are due at the time of reservation. Reservations are completed at the Parks and Recreation administrative offices and can be made up to a year in advance. Rental fee is $25 per hour.

ADOPT-A-PARK OR TRAIL PROGRAMCommit to the community by volunteering to help make our park and trail system clean, safe and beautiful. Give back to the community you live in by donating a bit of your time with your church, school club, social group or family and friends. Cedar Hill offers 32 neighborhood and community parks, a system of greenbelts within approximately 2482.50 acres, and over 36 miles of trails providing places for people to relax, play and explore. Parks are open daily from 5:30 am-11:30 pm.
