Welcome to the York Creek Red Angus Production Sale!

Kaye and I are very excited to be involved with Grant and Kurt Potadle and the York Creek Red Angus program! We think you will be impressed with the genetics offered within the pages of this catalog. They have aggressively sought out some of the top Red Angus genetics in the world from breeders who are highly respected in the breed to build their cow herd. This is your opportunity to capitalize on their years of work and investment. If you are new to the Red Angus breed, we would first like to welcome you to

a great breed of cattle. They are exceptionally friendly to use in a wide variety of breeding programs and very commercially acceptable. The breed has over the years excelled in calving ease, maternal, growth and carcass traits. In a 3 year unbiased test performed by Superior Livestock Auctions, Red Angus sired calves outsold all other breeds and crossbreds by a margin of $2.00 to $4.00 a hundred weight. Those figures include Black Angus sired cattle, English X Continental cattle as well as straight bred English sired cattle. If you’re not already on board with the “Big Red Machine” of Red Angus cattle, now is the time to join in. Who in the cattle business wouldn’t want an added $2 to $4 a hundred weight when all they have to do is make the move to a Red Angus bull battery in their herd. We would like to encourage you to study the lots listed on the following pages

and select the genetics that will work the best for you in your breeding program. Luckily, our neighbor, Max Hansen, had cow that had lost her calf and she took Kevin with no prob-lems. Fast forward six months later, and Kevin weans off with an adjusted weight of 662 lbs. and is named the Grand Champion Feeder calf at the county fair! Max did an excellent job with this attractive young bull, and it’s no surprise why Kevin sorted himself to the top that day in the ring. This is one of the soundest moving bulls in the pen, with a lot of balance and bold rib shape to go with it. TERMS: Terms of the sale are cash, check, or other terms agreed to in writing between seller, buyer, and sale manager payable immediately upon conclusion of the sale before animals will be moved. Sale Manager reserves the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing any cattle. Buyer hereby grants to Seller/Sale Man-ager a security interest in the livestock purchased to secure the payment of the purchase price, and Buyer further authorizes Seller/Sale Manager to file any necessary documents with any Secretary of State or other governmental entity necessary to perfect such security interest.ANNOUNCMENTS: Any errors or changes in information contained in the catalog will be announced from the block and such announcements shall take precedence over the information contained herein.BIDDING: Any disputes or challenges regarding bids or tie bids will be settled by the Auctioneer and the decision will be final.PURCHASER’S RISK: All animals are the owner’s risk prior to their sale and become property of the purchaser as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer.CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: A certificate of registry for each animal will be transferred to the buyer at the seller’s expense.FROZEN LOTS: Buyer is to pay for all shipping and handling of embryos and/or semen. Arrangements for International Shipment should be made with the Sale Manager prior to the auction. All efforts for the exportation of cattle can be arranged through the Sale Manager.BREEDING GUARANTEE: All animals are guaranteed by the seller as outlined in the Suggested Sale Terms of the Red Angus Association of America including but not limited to points 8 and 10.LIABILITIES: All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk. The seller, auction facility, and sale manager assume no liability for any accidents that may occur. Neither does the seller, auction facility, or sale manager as-sume liability for the loss or injury to livestock due to theft, mysterious disappearance, sickness, improper handling or Act of God. It is to be clearly understood that the sale manager and its representatives act only as a medium between the buyer and the seller.
