Masterminds
Book one of the Masterminds series.

Masterminds is a fast paced mystery/science fiction book. It is great for people of all ages who
love to read a good book. It all starts in a very small town called Serenity. In a town of only 30 kids and
a grand total of 185 people you don’t have to worry much about anything. But when Eli tries to go out-
side of town something strange happens. This leads Randy to second guess what Serenity is really all
about. The kids learn that they can’t trust anyone, least of all their own parents.
This book was definitely one of my favorite books I have read by far. It is a bit slow at first but
after the first few chapters is takes off. Masterminds is a quick read and has a new twist with every
page. The cliff hanger at the end doesn’t leave you to fall off the cliff. I highly suggest putting this book
on your reading list. If you enjoy this book check out the second book in the series, Masterminds: Crim-
inal Destiny. The third book will be released in March of 2017 and is called Masterminds: Payback.

Please join us for F.C.A. every Thursday. F.C.A. stands for
Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We first read a passage
from the Bible. After the reading we talk about what we
can do to make ourselves better Christians based on what
we read out of the Bible that day. After we discuss this we
then say a quick prayer and are all treated to one Casey's
doughnut each.

Wrestling

Wrestling is going very well this season. We have won
most of our duals. Our team has come very far in skill lev-
el from the beginning of the season. We just had our final
tournament at Clark and we did very well and tried hard.
Our coaches Ross and Scott have taught us many different
things including responsibility and dedication, and those
are important in any sport.

What does Mr. Altman have to say this month?
I have been impressed with the hard work put in by our students and staff so far
this school year. I encourage everyone to finish the semester out strong with your
continued best effort so that we can all feel good and relaxed during the upcom-
ing winter break. Remember to keep practicing kindness, respect and tolerance

Taking first place was tech. Math (Meyers) came in second .
7th grade~
Geography’s skits unit helped get itself in first place. Literature got second place because everyone
likes reading books.
8th grade~
History placed first and math with Mr. Fowler took second.
Cheer
OH MY GOSH IT IS ALMOST CHRISTMAS, WHICH MEANS A PEP ASSEMBLY,
WHICH MEANS A CHEER DANCE, WHICH MEANS MORE PRACTICES!!!!! 15 more
days of school and then it’s Christmas break! I am ready, you are ready, we are
ready for Christmas. We are going to learn a new dance and it’s full of Christmas
music.
Girls Basketball

The 8th grade season has been going well so far. We have really
good teamwork and lots of hustle. We are 2-5 on the season. The
ladies are really looking forward to the games ahead, and are
working hard in practice. We interviewed point guard, Kylie Rickard
who had this to say, “A and B team are working really hard, our
game has gotten stronger since the beginning of the year, and we
can’t wait for what’s ahead of us.”
The 7th graders have had a demanding season. They are
working very hard and it’s paying off. Guard, Raegan Seba had this
to say, “A and B team both beat Clark on 11/15, they battled hard in
all of their games.” These ladies have a lot of work ahead of them,
but they are prepared for anything.
