Beautiful materials are the inspiration for everything we do and they are also the first thing that most people notice about our lighting. We combine our hand-crafted metalwork with luxurious silks, hand-cut crystals, delicate chain strands and gold leaf to create stunning elegant pieces that are built to last.

Our Sample Kit contains samples of each of the main finishes in the collection. There are many different options for each format, enabling a large number of different colours and designs to be created. We are also able to create special finishes to your specification as part of our custom service.


HAND-CRAFTED ELEGANCE

A team of skilled craftsmen and women turn our beautiful materials into each light by hand in our Berkshire workshop. It takes 6 months to become fully trained in the skill of combining hundreds of individual crystals or chains to create our chandeliers. Some of our larger pieces can take hundreds of hours to complete. Every single piece is hand-made to order in our workshop with the greatest attention to detail.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Measure upHeight measurements for chandeliers do not include the suspension chains.Suspension chains for chandeliers can be adjusted to the height needed upon installation. If you need a longer chain we can supply it, just call us. All measurements and weights are approximate - our lights are hand-crafted so there will be some variation.

Make it shineYou will need a qualified electrician to install your light. To find one in the UK, try www.niceic.org.uk or www.napit.org.uk. Our lights come with comprehensive installation instructions. They shouldn’t need much maintenance but we give you some information on that too.

If you have chosen a crystal light, it will arrive with the crystal pack-aged separately in strands (this is common practice and is done to prevent damage to the crystal in transit). All you need to do to assem-ble your light is to hook each strand onto the frame with the hooks provided. If you have chosen a chain light, it will arrive fully assembled. Silk and lattice shades are supplied separately and will need attaching after installation.All of our lamp holders are standard large Edison Screw (E27).We recommend low energy halogen or LED bulbs for use with silk and lattice shades, call us for advice.

Built to last Our lights are hand made – each one is an individual work of craftsmanship. Our crystal lights use quality optical crystal or coloured crystal. The crystal in your light will have a brilliant sparkle and will scatter shafts of light all around your room. The crystal (especially coloured crystal) will contain some swirls, air bubbles and other small imperfections. Our chain lights are made up of hundreds of individual strands of chain, each one made in the UK and attached by hand. Our silk shades use the highest quality silk.

A different standardThis table of information relates to our standard collection, which is designed to UK / EU standards. We can convert any light in the collection to other worldwide standards, including USA, on request. We can also convert to IP44 standards for use in bathrooms. Our lovely showroom Chandlers House is open from 9am – 5pm Monday - Friday. If you are looking for technical advice or would like to commission a custom project, why not make an appointment to meet our design team when you visit? The showroom is attached to our workshop and if you would like to have a look round while you are here, you will be most welcome. Situated in the picturesque Berkshire town of Pangbourne-on-Thames, the showroom is easily accessed by train from Paddington or by car from the M4.
