Aspire classes are FREE! The Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) program has a new name! On April 17th, 2017, the Ohio Department of Higher Education announced that the program will now be called the Aspire program. We provide academic support for those seeking their High School Equivalency Diploma, (GED ®)transitioning to college or career tech trainings, English language acquisition, and seeking or retaining employment. Who may enroll in Aspire/GED classes? Aspire classes are FREE to all eligible adults. Students who are 16, 17 and 18 years old must have an official withdrawal documentation from their home school district or evidence of a high school diploma. What will I study? Most Aspire adults need to enhance math and writing skills. Each adult receives customized lessons specific to your needs. Is attendance required? Yes. Adults who enroll in Aspire classes are expected to attend classes whenever they are held. How long will the program take? It takes time to learn any skill, so the time depends on the individual. Students write their own goals and the Aspire staff members guide the students till those goals are met.
