Keynote Speakers

Paul Retter – CEO, National Transport Commission

Paul commenced as Chief Executive and Commissioner of the NTC on 8 July 2013. He has extensive knowledge of transport and logistics, having held the position of Executive Director of the Office of Transport Security (OTS) at the Department of Transport and Regional Services from 2006-13.

Sal Petroccitto – CEO, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator

Sal was appointed Chief Executive of the NHVR in May 2014. Since taking up his position Sal has led significant transformational change across the NHVR, working to ensure the Regulator has the right operational focus and capability to fulfill its remit under the Heavy Vehicle National Law.

Turia PittIn 2011, Turia was an ex-model, fitness junkie and successful mining engineer working in Western Australia. In 2011, she was also caught in a freak firestorm while competing in a 100km ultramarathon in the remote north-west. Turia’s motto ‘never ever give up’ resonates with people from all walks of life – anyone, anywhere, who refuses to be limited by circumstance. She is a true and profound inspiration to all those she meets.

Paul Angelatos – COO, Seeing Machine Technology

After a career in the Australian Defence Force, Paul transitioned to the commercial world with Halliburton and KBR. The experience Paul gained in supporting the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad and reconstructing Iraq’s oil infrastructure in Basrah, has allowed him to bring an enormous wealth of experience to Seeing Machines’ global operations.

Andrew Moffatt – MD, Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand

Andrew was appointed to the role of Managing Director for Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand on 1st January 2013. Andrew is the first local Managing Director to be appointed to oversee the Company’s Australian and New Zealand operations. Having been with the Company for 24 years, Andrew has significant industry experience and has been a Board Director since 1997, originally as Finance Director.

Mike Lean – CEO, Wettenhalls

Mike was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Wettenhalls on 12th November 2015. Prior to this he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Hastings Development Authority and previously he held senior appointments within BAE Systems Australia Ltd and the Tenix Group. Before joining the private sector Mike had a distinguished military career in the Australian Army as a commissioned officer.

Gillian Bristow – Special Counsel, Cooper Grace Ward

Gillian has practiced in the transport sector for more than 25 years. She acts for a wide variety of transport and logistics clients across all jurisdictions, including road transport operators, warehouse operators and freight forwarders. In addition, Gillian acts for insurers and insurance brokers involved in the heavy vehicle industry.

Over two interactive days hear from and discuss with key industry stakeholders, and experts, the latest information, technology and predictions to help you be business-ready.
