DR PATRICK GIRARD PHD (STANFORD)SENIOR LECTURER, UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND Patrick Girard is an expert in logic and critical thinking. With a Ph.D from Stanford University, Patrick has been directing UoA’s critical thinking course since 2010. With his colleague Tim Dare, he has created the massive 50,000 student-strong open online course “Logical and Critical Thinking.”Patrick is passionate about his research in philosophy and logic and this passion is reflected in his engagement with students and audiences.
James DickinsonCIO, BDO
James Dickinson is the CIO for BDO New Zealand and was previously the Regional Head of ICT for OCS covering New Zealand, Australia and China. Having spent seven years at Gen-i in a variety of roles, James has a background in ICT sales, product marketing and strategic planning.
Mike NooneyHEAD OF ARCHITECTURE - DIGITAL STRATEGY & ENABLEMENT, AIR NEW ZEALANDBefore joining Air New Zealand, Mike was Product Development Director at Orion Health for two years where he led up to ten development teams across development centres in NZ and Thailand. Mike moved to NZ from Ireland in 2002 and has worked in a diverse range of industry verticals in Software Engineering and Architecture roles.
Kalman BekesiCHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, MOVIO
Kalman leads a talented team of high-performance engineers. He has taken Movio through a technological transformation from monolith to a microservice architecture, as well as a social transformation from project teams to product-based squads. Kalman aggressively pursues continual improvement through all areas of software engineering.
Alastair KenworthyPRINCIPAL ARCHITECT, TECHNOLOGY & DIGITAL SERVICES, MINISTRY OF HEALTHAlastair leads the development of information standards and architecture for the health and disability sector in his role with the Ministry of Health. He works with the Health Information Standards Organisation (HISO), represents the Ministry of Health on the SNOMED International member forum, is an HL7 New Zealand Board member, and chairs the health sector architects group.
