The Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP) was developed to preserve a network of habitat and open space, protecting biodiversity and enhancing the region’s quality of life. This workshop will focus on local, state and federal partners’ MSCP accomplishments including habitat restoration, management and education outreach. The workshop provides an opportunity for the public to learn more about San Diego’s unique habitats, and the role of the MSCP in preserving open space and in enacting regional conservation and management efforts.
Agenda 8:30 a.m. TOUR—Join City of San Diego park rangers and restoration partners for a walk through Carmel Mountain Preserve to learn about vernal pools, southern maritime chaparral, and the successes and challenges of maintaining these resources.
