From the Pastor’s Desk- Fess Up When You Mess Up. Sooner or later,

like it or not, we all fail. The truth is, we fail often, over and over, time

and again. The Bible says, “All men sin and fall short of the glory of

God.” There is not one of us who doesn’t mess up.

When it comes to being sinners, we are all in the same boat. But

there is a world of difference in the way we handle our failures. Some

people lie and deny. They lie to their families, their Churches, their

friends-worst of all they lie to themselves and to God. It’s a dead-end

strategy for dealing with sin.

Other people ‘fess up when they mess up, and then straighten up.

That is what the Bible says to do. It is the healthy thing to do-mentally

and spiritually. It is the path to forgiveness.

When some who mess up ‘fess up and straighten up, thank God

for them. They are modeling the only right solution to moral failure. To

cut them off, shut them out, or run them off send a strong message to

Church Worship Etiquette: Please show reverence for the sanctuary and worship service by:

No chewing of gum

There is absolutely no eating or drinking in the Sanctuary.

Turn off all cell phones or place them on vibrate.

God wants to talk to you uninterrupted. No texting in church.

Please take crying children outside, utilize the mother’s room.

Only cars displaying handicap decals are allowed to park in the handicap parking

slots.

Remember you are in the presence of the Great Jehovah!

YAM: Mt. Olive Youth, are you ready for S.W.A.G? (Save With Amaz-

ing Grace) a youth focused bible study and evangelistic series presented

by Pastor Paschal from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm after lunch. Parents, lunch

will be provided for our youth, so you will not have to worry about

transportation. Mt. Olive youth, let us start 2018 right with A.G.A.G!

Get ready for Power.

Health Ministry: Calling all Health Ministry team members and those

who are interested in joining the health team. Please join us on 1/6/2018

in the youth room immediately after church service. We wish to start

making plans for the year and we need your input. Please bring a plant

base dish and join us for a potluck.

Singles Ministry: Meet & Greet 2018. Join us January 6th at 7pm as we

meet and celebrate January birthdays at Brunswick Zones Wekiva

Lanes. The first 10 people will have their shoes paid for.

Save the date! Singles Ministry Valentine’s day fundraiser; We will be

selling floral arrangements and having a wall of love. Proceeds will

benefit Harbor House helping families escape domestic violence and a

children’s home orphanage.

The Family Ministries: Presents the Denial Fast 2018 Sabbath Janu-

ary 6th - January 26. Ending with our 4th annual Agape Feast.

Family Fellowships: Now on a three week vacation. We will resume on

January 9, 10 & 11. May your holidays be filled with blessings.
