Senior Timeline

*Now is the time to apply‐‐I will have "Drop in days" on GOLD DAYS & a day for SCC applications‐‐Oct. 25 (sign up at: https://tinyurl.com/SCCBEREADY2018)

*Apply now even if you are still working on meeting admission requirements

*Continue to research colleges, go to college fairs, go on college visits, meet with college reps

*May 1 is when you make your final decision but apply early so you don't miss out on scholarships

Requesting a transcript

• NEW: Request a transcript through your SCOIR account. Login at scoir.com

• Chromebook will be set up near secretaries' desks

• We need your permission to send transcripts

• Apply first then send transcripts

• Common App.‐‐you will not use SCOIR but enter Mrs. Prestidge's info for counselor: 636‐851‐4959

• Our secretaries handle transcripts so see them with any questions

Sending a Transcript through SCOIR 

1. Log on at scoir.com

2. Click ‘College Search’ at the top of the page

3. Enter the name of the school you are applying in the left column

4. On the college page click the  + sign from the college tile, or the Follow button in the College Details page.

5. Now click ‘My Colleges’ at the top of the page

6. Click on the college tile to open navigate to the bottom of the page & indicate that you intend to apply by clicking the green “I intend to apply here” box.

7. This opens the application box to complete type and method (application id is optional).

8. Click green “Save” box

9. Upon clicking Save, SCOIR will forward a message to your Counselor that documents need to be sent to this College on your behalf.  This will also move the College tile to the 'Applying' column.

10. Repeat this process for each college
