SAAKSHARA BHARATH SCHEME Results:
• An old scheme that was meant to create a literate society through a variety of
teaching programs for 15 years and above.
• Volunteers held early morning and late evening learning sessions with villagers.
• Out of 182 Identified, 100 villagers were certified by NIOS to be literates. Thereby
increasing literacy rate further.

OBJECTIVE: Provide LPG connections to women from BPL households.
STATUS : The Telangana government has already “Deepam Scheme” working effectively in
Nagapur Village that provides LPG connections. Deepam scheme is dependent on Centre for funds.
There is Universal coverage of LPG Connection in village.

PRADHAN MANTRI SAHAJ BIJLI GHAR YOJNA ( SAUBHAGYA)
Aim : To provide energy access to all by last mile connectivity and electricity connections to all
remaining un-electrified households in rural as well as urban areas.
Status : 1. Each house hold in Village already had electric connections sponsored by state government
and free meter connections for agricultural purposes.
2. No awareness and knowledge about this scheme in village as not required.
UNNAT JYOTI BY AFFORDABLE LEDs FOR ALL (UJALA)
AIM: To promote efficient lighting , enhance awareness on using efficient equipment which reduce electricity bills.
1,65,000 LEDs have been distributed in Nizamabad district
No awareness among villagers about this scheme. No distribution center nearby .
The street lights in village are CFL and Tube lights only.
Nagapur has 24 hrs electricity supply but it
should now look forward to LEDs

AIM: National Mission for Financial inclusion to ensure access to financial services like banking,
loans, insurance, subsidies and Pensions.
STATUS:
Most of the villagers were having a Bank Account prior to scheme as they use it for pensions, subsidies
transfers and loan purposes by SHGs members.
Universal access to Banking facilities after launch of PMJDY.

Provide Bank Customer Service Point or Bank Mitra in the village &
participation of Bank officials in Gram Sabha.
Effective Monitoring of schemes like Haritha Haram, Swatch bharat and
others
Effective supervision of village level institutions like Anganwadi center,
PDS(Ration shop) by Gram panchayat and mandal level officials
Library with computer facility in the school.
Benefits of the UJALA scheme should be brought to the village.
Replacement of Kerosene oil in PDS with other provisions like Dal, cooking oil
etc.
Setup of public utility services like Public Toilet and operative busstop.
