DEAR ARIZONA SCITECH FESTIVAL ENTHUSIASTS: As Governor of Arizona, I’m proud to support the 2018 Arizona SciTech Festival, a statewide celebration which is the third-largest science and technology festival in the country!

Arizona is a national leader in empowering students to serve as peer ambassadors for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education. Our youth represent the future prosperity of our economy, and the programs they are exposed to at the Arizona SciTech Festival inspire them to pursue careers in STEM fields. We are pleased to be producing the next generation of science and technology leaders right here in our great state. In today’s knowledge-based economy, this is critical for building the educated and skilled workforce our state needs to remain at the leading edge of discovery. The Arizona SciTech Festival brings together communities from around the state and through public and private collaboration creates over 450 partnerships to advance imaginative ideas in science and technology fields. From February to March of each year, more than 500 events, workshops, exhibitions and tours, drawing crowds of over 300,000 people, take place in diverse locations across our entire state. Through these high-quality offerings, our students and citizens have endless opportunities for learning and discovery, ranging from scientific invention to natural wonders. Each year, the Arizona SciTech Festival continues to grow and engage more Arizonans – I hope you will join us to help make 2018 the largest celebration to date.
