1 2018 ECU Homecoming Parade Rules and Guidelines “Pirate TV” Sponsored by Student Government Association *The ECU Homecoming Parade is only open to university student organizations, campus departments, and registered community partners. Outside entities will not be granted permission to participate. Float 1. The application fee has been waived this year for ECU campus departments and ECU registered community partners. 2. Floats must be designed with the ECU Homecoming theme, Pirate TV, in mind. 3. Floats must have the ECU Department name, Student Organization name or Community Partner name and include the Homecoming theme on the float. 4. Floats may not be taller than twelve feet from the pavement. 5. Floats and/or trailers must be able to maneuver a street corner. 6. Organizations/Departments must provide their own source of transportation for their float 7. Floats must either consist of a flatbed truck, a trailer pulled by a vehicle, or a walking float. 8. Alcohol or other mind-altering substances are strictly prohibited on any float and also should not be referenced in any way. 9. To participate, check in by 8AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Wahl-Coats Elementary School parking lot. The parade will begin approximately at 9AM. 10. Your organization or department will be removed if they are found to be using commercial or political advertising on your float or any items that are passed out during the parade along 5 th Street.

right on time for the game kickoff!
