The Spread the Love Foundation strives to prevent teen suicide by educating students and adults on mental illness, which is the root cause of both suicide and addiction.
In 2018, the ICCU held a 50/50 Fundraiser, selling raffle tickets for cash and prizes. At the company
picnic, the winners were announced and the founder of Spreading the Love, Nicole, came to speak more about the foundation.
The Sheridan Story began by providing one bag of non-perishable food to 27 kindergarteners each weekend in 2010. The Sheridan Story now
serves more than 5,400 students in 144 schools, by placing a bag of food into the student’s current backpack.
In 2018, the ICCU donated money and held a food drive to provide food items for the students.
2018 Donation Highlights
Events HighlightsCookie Cart Volunteer: In August, the ICCU team went to Cookie Cart’s new St. Paul location (on Payne) to work along side with high school students to make cookies! In addition to making cookies, ICCU members spoke with the students about their professional journey and helped answer questions students had about jobs, college, and professionalism. Cookie Cart provides teens 15 to 18 years old with lasting and meaningful work, life and leadership skills through experience and training in an urban nonprofit bakery.
Meals on Wheals: The ICCU has dedicated time every month to deliver meals to the homes of seniors and individuals with disabilities around the New Brighton area.
Holiday Work-area Decorating Contest: The ICCU finds value in creating a community with IntriCon employees. The holiday decorating contest aimed to bring cheer into the office!
