Important dates… October 6th: Family Sunday, K-6th grade children worship with their families. It is Communion Sunday. Discuss with your

children the meaning of communion. You can decide if they are ready for communion or if they want to receive a blessing. Worship Bags are available.

October 25th, 6:30-8:00 pm: Trunk-Or-Treat Event for the whole family. Invite your neighbors!!!

HomeFront is a monthly magazine and spiritual parenting resource combined into one and each month works on one of 10 Environments. The environment for the month of September is KNOWING. Nothing is more important in our spiritual lives than knowing

and being known by God. We live in a world that denies absolute truth, and yet God’s Word offers just that. As we create an environment that upholds and displays God’s truth, we give children a foundation of knowing God, studying His Word, and cultivating a relationship with Him through Christ.

Just as the environment of KNOWING describes, we live in a world that denies and dismisses the existence of absolute truth. What a tragedy! We face an urgency to pass on the truth of God and His Word to the next generation. As we learn God’s truth, we open up to knowing God Himself and entering into relationship with Him. As we create space that allows our families to study God’s Word, we’ll develop a hunger and thirst to know Him more. We pray that this month, as your family begins to know Him more, your family will together seek to know Jesus more each day so you can know He knows you most, that you can know him more and you each can do a part to make Him KNOWN to others.

1 Praise the Lord for Dave Kerr, Interim Senior Pastor, and his service to our church during this time.

2 Lift up Love INC agency. May the Lord bless their ministry of help and assistance to those who are in need.

3 Pray for the Lord’s hand of protection for missionaries who serve around the world.

4 Pray for the Javaid family as they transition to life in America.

5 Pray for the Bible study leaders, and participants, to grow in love and knowledge of God’s word.

6 “I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.” - Philippians 1:9

7 Pray for the faithful church volunteers who serve in both seen and unseen ways.

8 Personal prayer: Life can make me weary and stressed at times. I want to stop right now, Lord, and take the time to quiet my soul before

you. Speak to me. Amen.

9 Pray for those who are feeling especially discouraged in their faith lately.

10 Praise God for cooler weather and harvest season. May the Valley be richly blessed.

11 Thank the Lord for Denise Rallis and her faithful choir members.

12 Pray for our congregation to have openness and receptivity to what God is teaching us in this season.

13 Pray for our wonderful Youth Director, Stephanie Poblenz, and the work she is doing with our students.

14 Pray for the new Covenant Partners to feel welcomed at CPC.

15 Today may you be confident of His presence, certain of His promises, and assured of His love.

16 Praise God for His unfailing love and mercy!

17 Remember in prayer our local, state, and federal government officials.

18 Trust in God’s sovereignty: remember He goes before you, as well as with you, into each day.

19 Chose to underwhelm your schedule so God can overwhelm your soul with opportunities to bless and serve others.

20 May the Lord be praised today through our worship and actions!

21 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good steward of God’s varied grace.” - 1 Peter 4:10

22 Pray for a revival in our nation; for those who know Christ as their Savior to be bold in their declaration of His saving grace.

23 Personal prayer: Lord, protect me from harm and teach me to seek your will.

24 Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.

25 Pray for a safe and fun Trunk or Treat event tonight!
