BUILDING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS - Effective relationship building allows one to create coalitions. INSTITUTIONAL KNOWLEDGE/UNDERSTANDING Employees need a thorough understanding of the business policies and practices of our institution, how we strive to serve our customers, and ensure our continued advancement as an institution. This requires the employee to understand the financial, administrative, and marketing expertise required to operate in the highly competitive environment of higher education. This also requires a clear understanding of the capabilities and requirements of the specific organizational area(s) for which the position has responsibility. LEADING CHANGE - One who effectively leads change has a general service motivation that helps create and build a culture dedicated to providing quality service, a dedication to strategic thinking and planning, and an ability to embrace, articulate, and implement a long-range vision for their organization.

BUILDING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS - Effective relationship building allows one to create coalitions.
