NFLOW SPH is Korea’s First fluid analysis simulation software developed by applying
SPH(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) method. It can be used in all fields requiring fluid
analysis such as multi-phase, interaction with rigid bodies, free surface analysis, and
particle expression.

NFLOW SPH is a particle-based fluid analysis program that analyzes the various flow
situations in many industries with SPH method. We have developed an optimized algorithm
based on the characteristics of the SPH method to improve the stability as an analysis
program and provide an intuitive and easy UI for users to use more easily and conveniently.
Necessity of NFLOW SPH
1) Solve Complex flows, such as Multi-Phase
In the case of FDM or FVM method using grid, it is difficult to search the boundary
requiring high accuracy because the numerical instability of the advection term occurs
when the boundary of each phase is represented. On the other hand, NFLOW SPH
has the flexibility in dealing with the transformation of surface such as free surface
because it uses particles with unique physical properties
2) Can be used in various fields
The traditional mesh-based software analyzes the limited space and structure, whereas
the NFLOW SPH analyzes based on particle characteristics, so there is no limit to the
size of the geometry. It can be used in various fields according to the size of
geometries and provides various options to users.

Large floods of dams and rivers caused by heavy rains
and torrential rains can lead to loss of indirect social
capital, as well as damage to personal property and life.
Simulation of water facilities, such as dams, reservoirs,
and streams, is now essential to prevent significant
damage. NFLOW SPH assists in verifying water facilities,
assessing their risks, and preparing mid- and long-
term plans and management measures for various
situations.
Review and suggest optimized design of
vulnerable section of road
Flood and waterlogging have been reported continuously.
To prepare for this problem, we are redesigning the
drainage system. However, designs that rely on existing
one-dimensional design guidelines are difficult visualize,
so proper design is difficult and re-immersion occurs.
NFLOW SPH can check the water flow and drainage
flow of existing drainage facilities through 3D simulation
and suggests the proper size of drainage structure in
case of flooding situations.

Conventional mesh-based CFD is a Eulerian technique that divides the simulation space into
an arbitrary grid to approximate the Navier-Stokes equations in each discrete cell. It takes a
lot of time and effort to create a highly reliable grid to analyze the structure and fluid flow area.
Furthermore, conventional CFDs can be limited in solving the physics of unsteady flows by
analyzing steady state flows.
LBM, which is recently gaining popularity in the CFD industry, can calculate time-dependent
values by calculating the probability distribution over particle velocity. NFLOW LBM has much
simpler pre-process than Navier-Stokes Equations-based CFD solutions. LBM is a new
solution that goes beyond the limitations of existing CFD solutions, especially when combined
with NFLOW based on GPU parallel computing techniques..
