EXETERExeter, the capital of the county of Devon, is one of the oldest towns in Britain. Situated in the heart of the south west of England, it is well-known for its mild climate and natural beauty. With its Roman walls, a Norman cathedral and modern facilities, it is both modern and old.

ASHFORDOur programme is carried out in Ashford, a modern town in the county of Kent in the United Kingdom, 50 km from London. It is a medium-sized school (with about 500 pupils) which stands out for the quality of its facilities. Ashford has recently been rated as one of the top 20 independent educational institutions in the U.K. and was chosen Independent School of the Year in 2010.



LIDDINGTON - SPORTThe programme is developed in a sports complex which also caters for multi-adventure activities and is situated in the south west of England in a beautiful valley near Bath, Oxford and Windsor and 150 km from London. LIVING WITH A HOST FAMILY IN DENVER, SUMMER CAMP OPTION

From vast grasslands and imposing mountains, to majestic rivers and desert landscapes, Colorado is unlike any other place. This state offers the widest variety of natural marvels and is of a rich cultural heritage, which can be seen in the forts of the “wild west”, the old railway lines, the mining museums and the art of the American Indians.

FAMILY IMMERSIONThis programme is aimed at young people with a certain level of maturity, a good level of English and the motivation to integrate and get on in an American family: without classes or contact with Spanish students. ASHEVILLE,NORTH CAROLINA This is an ideal playground prepared for various outdoor adventure activities. Asheville serves as an operations centre for exploring and offers over 324,000 hectares of pristine nature, mountain ecosystems and waterfalls. Here, you can fly on the zip lines, go whitewater rafting, walk or ride a mountain bike along the superb trails and through the colourful autumn landscape. The Blue Ridge Parkway, the most visited “panoramic highway” in the United States, passes through Asheville.

This is an area which is rich in history, from Cherokee legends to the splendour of the most grandiose building in the country, Biltmore House (Casa Biltmore), with its 250 rooms and the historic hotel, Omni Grove Park Inn; and, of course, there is the music and the unique Appalachian crafts brought by the first Scottish and Irish settlements.



VANCOUVER A city with much to see, such as Stanley Park or Pacific Spirit Regional Park, where many species of small birds and mammals are to be found. And there are, of course, its famous beaches: English Bay, Spanish Banks, Wreck Beach, Jericho Beach and Kitsilano Beach, for example.

BERLINBerlin is the ideal place for learning German. It is very cosmopolitan, relaxed and also very green with many parks and lakes. THE UNITED STATES

The academic year programme consists of a cultural and academic programme in which students do an entire school year which can be validated in the USA while they live with a local host family or stay in a residence. IRELANDThe academic year programme in Ireland provides students with a golden opportunity: to learn the language and experience the essence of the Irish culture while they study for a school year which can be validated. This programme is aimed at secondary school students and sixth form students who wish to broaden their cultural horizon and boost their personal development, as well as learn English, in a warm, friendly atmosphere. As an alternative to the full school year, it is possible to study for one academic term. The student begins the academic year in Ireland in September and, on returning home after the Christmas holidays, finishes the year at his school.

CANADAOur programmes are designed to integrate you into a High School like any other Canadian student, following the curriculum established by the Canadian Ministry of Education and which coincides with your level. Sports, theatre, outdoor activities and the new technologies are the educational disciplines included in the Canadian educational programmes, which you will enjoy from the very first day.In Canada’s innovative educational system each school can choose annual or six-monthly subjects. With the semester system, studying is more intensive as four subjects are taught. With annual subjects you will have 3 terms and study 8 subjects during the year. Most schools have adopted the six-monthly system enabling the student to start at the beginning of September or the end of January. LOS ANGELESLos Angeles is the largest city in California and the second largest in the United States. It is situated on the southern coast of Californiaabout120km north of the Mexican border. Visiting Los Angeles is like becoming part of the world of cinema, part of Hollywood, where you can see the Walk of Fame and Beverly Hills or Santa Monica beach, and all those places you have seen hundreds of times in American films. Apart from the cinema, the music industry or the important art centres, the city has a varied cultural offer as there are dozens of museums, art galleries and theatres to be found in any district of the county. It focuses very much on sport, and the Los Angeles Lakers, which competes in the national league, is a good example of this. Furthermore, new sports have come into being there, for example, beach volleyball or windsurf.

BOSTON

The capital of Massachusetts is attracting more and more tourists every year, which is not surprising as Boston is home to the American Revolution and it was precisely here where the war for freedom began. Apart from those places related to the history of the United States, Boston is well known for its spectacular art and cultural monuments, magnificent parks, shopping streets and outstanding restaurants. For example, Back Bay is regarded as a genuine outdoor museum, where you can appreciate Victorian, classic and Gothic houses, which give it a very special touch. There is the distinctly Irish Charlestown, which you can see by boat or by tram and where you can visit the Naval Museum. The university city of Boston is home to two world-renowned universities: the University of Cambridge and the University of Harvard. It is rich in tradition and has a very diverse cuisine.

NEW YORK

In recent years, New York has become by its own merits the economic and cultural capital of the world. New York has a unique atmosphere and lifestyle which is impossible to describe, you have to go and see it for yourself. Going to a musical on Broadway, spending the night in Times Square, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, enjoying an afternoon shopping in the Fifth Avenue, feeling like a broker in Wall Street, strolling through Central Park, visiting the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State are but a few of the things you can only do in New York.

SAN FRANCISCO

Founded in1776 by a Spanish friar, San Francisco expanded thanks to the Gold Rush and now has a population of over800,000 and is one of the most important tourist spots in the United States. San Francisco is known for its Golden Gate, Alcatraz Island, Twin Peaks or the “trams” that run up and down the steep city streets. The city’s unique character stems from its cultural mix. AU-PAIRThe au pair programme is a study programme, which combines intensive language classes with helping a family to look after their children and some household chores. 20 or 25 hours of language classes and 30 to 35 hours’ work per week.
