Essex Squash57 2019-2020
There has interest expressed in trying to re-establish an
Essex sq57 League but given the limited number of clubs
stepping forward and the likely contention with squash
matches we are discussing possible alternatives e.g.:
• Setting up periodic (quarterly?) club challenge events.
• With the National Squash57 Doubles being in December it
probably makes sense to run an Essex Squash57 Doubles
competition in the build up to that.

The Future
2019/2020 will see increase in the number of players at Inter County and
Development training, the number of teams competing at National IC
level, growth of a Southern & Eastern GP series, expanded Miles Smith
Essex GP series and introduction of inaugural Eastern Counties Super
Six Series
This will see results from half-a-dozen England sanctioned events in and
around Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire areas count towards a season
long competition, an idea sanctioned by England Squash themselves.
The Committee of Essex Junior Squash will continue to look at growing
the sport in our County as well as representing Essex to the highest
level nationally.
