Student Intern Application Form - Summer2019
This program gives undergraduate students a chance to gain real experience in variety ofenvironmentally focused careers with projects spanning from ecological research,education, policy, and social science fields. The program runs May 20 - July 30, 2019 andincludes a week-long Short Course at NGRREC in East Alton, IL and a professional InternSymposium at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL. Attendance at the InternProgram Short Course (May 20-24, 2019) and Intern Symposium (July 29-30, 2019) arerequired if accepted as an intern.
Application deadline is midnight January 23, 2019. All materials must besubmitted through this online form. Email submissions will not beaccepted.
You will NOT be able to save your application form and return to itlater. Please make sure you have all your application materialsbefore starting this application form. To help you prepare yourmaterials ahead of time, download the application questions. Toview project descriptions and duties, download the projectsummaries.
Required Application DocumentsIn addition to the form questions, you will be required to upload the following materials -email submissions will not be accepted. 1. Biographical sketch - Submit a brief statement (100 words or less) about yourself, your

interests, and where you see yourself career-wise in 5 years. This information will beincluded in the printed symposium proceedings handed out to all attendees at the InternSymposium. Save your file using the following naming scheme:LastName_FirstName_biosketch (example: Williams_Sam_biosketch). PDF or word docfile types accepted.
2. Resume - Include all relevant coursework, previous employment, internships, andvolunteer positions. Organization name, location, and dates should be included. Save yourfile using the following naming scheme: LastName_FirstName_resume (example:Williams_Sam_resume). PDF or word doc file types accepted.
3. College transcript - Unofficial copy will suffice as long as your name is clearly visible onthe transcript. A screenshot or a typed Word version of your transcript will not be accepted.Save your file using the following naming scheme: LastName_FirstName_transcript(example: Williams_Sam_transcript). PDF file type accepted.
4. Cover letter (optional, but encouraged) - Feel free to include a cover letter outliningwhat makes you a good candidate for this internship. Save your file using the followingnaming scheme: LastName_FirstName_cover (example: Williams_Sam_cover). PDF orword doc file types accepted.
