Social Media Toolkit 

As the COVID‐19 pandemic continues into fall 2020, the Alabama Hospital Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) have joined forces to urge Alabamians to get vaccinated for the flu. They note that with the additional impact of COVID‐19, it’s more important than ever to get a flu shot and to get it early.

GRAPHIC: TAKE 3 ACTIONS TO FIGHT FLU

GRAPHIC: GET YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY VACCINATED  Messaging 1 (general):  The annual #flu vaccine: 

✅ the first and most important step in protecting against flu viruses 

✅ recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older

GRAPHIC: ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT FLU ANTIVIRALS  Messaging: Take antiviral drugs when prescribed. They can be used to treat #flu illness, making illness milder & shorten the time you are sick. If you are at higher risk and get symptoms, call your doctor early so you can be treated with antivirals if needed. More: alabamapublichealth.gov/flu.
