AICSES INAUGURATION FUNCTION

2020-2021

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted AICSES (Association of Intellectual

Computer Science and Engineering Students) Inauguration and Fresher’s Day 2021 on 3rd Feb 2021. The aim

of the function was to begin the association activities of the department for the academic year 2020-21 and to

welcome the newly joined students to the department. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. Satyamoorti

Goankar Alumni, Senior Software Developer Thinkbiz Technologies, and Ahmedabad.

Ms. Keerti S presented invocation song, Mr. Sampreet Hiremath welcomed the gathering, Dr. Dinesha H. A.,

HOD, CSE mentioned importance of AICSES activities. Mr. Satyamoorti Goankar, who is also alumni of

SGBIT, mentioned in his address a few points to the path of success. “Everyone have to update the knowledge

according to changing technological aspects and we have to cultivate the habit of continues learning to

compete with fast developing world” he mentioned in his speech. Dr. Sidramappa V. Itti Principal SGBIT

presided over the function and in his presidential speech he motivated the students to become successful in

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted AICSES (Association of Intellectual

Computer Science and Engineering Students) Inauguration and Fresher’s Day on 9th Dec 2020. The aim of

the function was to begin the association activities of the department for the academic year 2020-21 and to

welcome the newly joined students to the department. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. Vijayendra

Athanikar , DD Chandana Senior Anchor. Ms. Keerti S presented invocation song, Mr. Sampreet Hiremath

welcomed the gathering, Dr. Dinesha H. A., HOD, and CSE mentioned importance of AICSES activities. Mr.

Vijayendra Athanikar, mentioned in his address a few points to the path of success “Life cannot be led with

degrees and testimonials only. You need to acquire self-confidence, you need to be assertive, and you must be

bold. All these traits are developed through debates, dialogues, focused group discussions, role plays and other

means of performing” he mentioned in his speech. Dr. Sidramappa V. Itti Principal SGBIT presided over the

“Application and opportunities in Big Data Technologies” on 14th September 2020.Resource person Mr.

Mithun B N Assistant Professor, Christ University, Bengaluru ,explained about Application and opportunities

in Big Data Technologies in today’s world. Dr. Dinehsha H. A, HOD, CSE gave presidential remark. The

webinar was organized by Prof. Shaheen Mujawar AICSES coordinator. Ms Nikita B. Bendigeri and Ms.

The objective of the Webinar is to give knowledge about following points to the students. To provide

knowledge on software testing and opportunities for software testing. To give insight about technical

interview. Students are able to learn the importance of Software Testing in IT industry and Opportunities.

Students also gained knowledge on how to clear Aptitude, technical interview and GD rounds

Department of Computer Science & Engineering in association with AICSES, organized webinar on

“Social Network Data Analysis using ML Techniques” on 08th May 2021 .Resource person Dr. Karuna C.

GULL Associate professor SGBIT, Belagavi ,explained about the importance of machine learning for social

network data in forthcoming years. This is due to the unprecedented growth of social-related data, boosted by

the proliferation of social media websites and the embedded heterogeneity and complexity. Alongside the

machine learning derives much effort from psychologists to build computational model for solving tasks like

recognition, prediction, planning and analysis even in uncertain situations. Asst. Prof. Jaya P, faculty, CSE

gave presidential remark. The webinar was organized by Asst.Prof. Shaheen Mujawar faculty AICSES

coordinators. Ms Jahnavi D hosted the event. Faculty members and students of CSE department were present.

Workshop on “Flutter App Development”

Department of Computer Science & Engineering in association with AICSES, organized workshop on

“Flutter App Development” from 04th June 2021 to 07th June 2021. Resource person Mr. Ashlesh Patil Chief

Technology Officer UILATECH, Belagavi and 6th Semester Student of SGBIT, Belagavi, explained and

Demonstrated about the Basic App Development and Database connectivity to an application with help of

Flutter framework, Dart Programming and firebase feature.

Day1 started with Inauguration of Workshop hosted by Ms. Nikita B, AICSES President. Asst. Prof. Shaheen

Mujawar, CSE briefed about three day session agenda. Dr. B.R. Patagundi, I/C Principal SGBIT, Belagavi

motivated students to adapt to latest technology. He informed students to utilize the three days workshop to

the maximum extent. Then the Session started with technical session by resource person. Installation of flutter

sdk, basics of dart programming Front end and Basic App Development was covered in session. At the end of session

Asst. Prof. Jaya P gave HOD remarks.

Day2 hosted by Ms. Nooresaba M, AICSES President. Back End, Introduction to firebase and using

libraries/dependencies topics were covered in session by Resource person.

Day3 hosted by Ms. Jahnvi D, General Secretary. Simple todo app using firebase and Building apk for android

topics were covered in 3rd day Session. At the end of technical session Dr. B. S. Halakarnimath gave presidential remark

followed by vote of thanks.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering in association with AICSES, organized webinar on

“DO IT!” on 05th July 2021 .Resource person Mr.Mohammed Qhizer Jameel ,Co-Founder and CEO at

Mantiqh Technologies, Bangalore Urban, Karnataka, India (Alumnus 2010-2014 Batch), highlighted about

not to become procrastinated in doing any work. He also mentioned some of the importance careers in IT

industries. He made students to identify their strengths and opportunities which help in the realization of one’s

dreams for designing, developing and running a new business by facing threats and risks effectively. Dr. B.

Department of CSE in association with Computer Society of India, student chapter ,SGBIT conducted

Webinar on “Opportunities for Network Engineers” on 15th May 2021, Resource Person Mr. Naveen Chander

C delivered talk on Importance and opportunities for networking career, types of network certifications, tips

to prepare for certification exams, How to work with networking software tools to the students of CSE. Prof.

Jaya Pattanshetti I/c HOD, CSE, Prof. Chitrashree K, CSI coordinator, faculty members and students attended

the webinar.

Department of CSE in association with Computer Society of India, student chapter ,SGBIT conducted

Webinar on “What’s Next After CS Engineering” on 29th May 2021, Resource Person Dr. Rajlaxmi

Ghatkamble delivered talk on different carrier options, comparison between the different fields,

opportunities in different domains to the students of CSE. Prof. Jaya Pattanshetti I/c HOD, CSE, Prof.

Chitrashree K, Alumni & CSI coordinator, faculty members and students attended the webinar.

ODD SEMESTER

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering has organised a Online Parent meeting on 3rd

October 2020 on Online Platform Microsoft Teams at 6.30 pm. The main purpose of meet was to create a

common platform, Where teacher and parents come together to enrich the student’s educational experiences

and discuss variety of issues, regarding all round development of students. The meeting was organized under

guidance of our beloved principal Dr. Sidramappa V. Itti , Head of Dept Dr. Dinesha H. A. All teachers and
