Morning Health Screenings

• Families will be responsible for monitoring their children each morning. A symptoms checklist is provided on the next slide. Any student that is not feeling well should remain home and seek medical attention if warranted.

• Communication is important and appreciated. Please contact the school through Email, Phone, or REMIND to inform if your child will be absent.

• If your child is not attending school but feeling well enough to participate, the option of following their classes through Google Classroom is available.

Morning Health Screenings• Has your student been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

• Has your student been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

• Has your student or anyone in your household been told they need to self-quarantine in the past 14 days?

• If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, your student should stay home.

• If you answered “no” to all of the questions, proceed to the symptom screening.

Busing

• Social distancing of 6 feet must be followed at all designated bus stops. No horseplay should take place and we encourage parents to model appropriate behavior.

• Student masks will be worn at all times. Bus drivers may remove during travel to avoid their glasses fogging.

• Students will load back to front with direction from the bus driver.

• Students will exit front to back.

Building Arrival• Students who take a bus will enter the building from the back

lobby. If a bus student wishes to have breakfast, they report to

the Café. If a student does not want breakfast, they report to the

Gym.

• Any student that does not take a bus and wishes to eat breakfast

should report to the main entrance and then go to the Cafe.

Students who do not want breakfast will report to the opposite

side of the Gym

• Congregation outside of the HS is not permitted. If you do not

wish to eat breakfast or wait in the Gym, students should remain

in their cars until 7:28

• 7:28-7:30: 9th and 10th grade students should enter through the

main doors. 11th grade students through the J entrance and 12th

grade students through the Nurse’s entrance.

Building Traffic Patterns

• Hallways signage will direct traffic flow.

• Students will pass to classes quickly and carefully in a single

file pattern. Reduced travel time to discourage gathering.

• Locker visits will be limited to prior to period 1, the end of

period 9 and prior to lunch periods for students who bring

their own lunches. All other visits must be approved by

faculty or administration.

Student Health

• Any student feeling ill should immediately notify a faculty or staff member. Students will be referred to one of the three isolation rooms and parents will be contacted. To prevent panic, students should not contact parents directly.

• Parent/School communication is imperative during this timeframe.

• A designated classroom will be used as an isolation area for symptomatic students being picked up.

• Any student who does not wear a mask when required or makes inappropriate comments or gestures that can impact the health and well being of others, will be subject to discipline measures.

Daily Schedules

• Students will follow their traditional schedule passing

between classes.

• Quickly passing to the next class period.

• Hallway signage will guide you to the next classroom.

Please be courteous of your classmates.

Daily Schedules

• Every student will receive a Chromebook and a Google Classroom course

code to mirror their schedule.

• Students will be graded traditionally. Both virtual and non-virtual students

will be graded on a 100-point scale. There will be four (4) quarters,

Midterm and Final exams. All GPA and Class Rank will continue as they

have in the past.

• If a student wishes to transition from in-person to virtual learning, the

student will follow the same schedule.

• Students cannot add or drop classes August 26, 27, 28

• All add/drops will start the week of August 31. A request should be sent

to your guidance counselor via the school Gmail. Students will remain in

their original class until they receive email confirmation of the approved

change. There will be no schedule changes after September 4th.

Class Sizes

• Class sizes at full occupancy this school year would be

approximately 24. We anticipate a considerable reduction

with some of our families choosing virtual.

• Student desks will be separated with the greatest distance

possible.

Lunch

• Students will be assigned 1 of 3 areas; Cafeteria, Library or Gym

• Pre-packed hot and cold lunches and snacks will be delivered to the assigned eating areas.

• Students will be seated a minimum of 3-6 feet apart in rows facing the same direction, drastically reducing face to face contact.

• Students will be permitted to use their cell phones to communicate with peers within their grade. No movement for socialization will be permitted.

• Students will be provided time to take staggered bathroom breaks and washing hands.

Bathroom

• Bathroom visits will be available throughout the day and

discouraged during the passing of classes to avoid a

gathering. There are a total of 8 student bathroom areas

available in order to reduce congestion.

• Students must wash their hands thoroughly after using the

facility.

• Please follow the bathroom signage.

Dismissal

• Students will exit as in the same way as they entered the

building.

• Dismissal will be at approximately 2PM.

Visitors

• Whenever possible, TAHS will be restricting visitors into the

buildings.

• All parent/teacher conferences, IEP meetings, principal

conferences and guidance concerns will participate through

virtual meetings.

• Special arrangements will be made for anyone without the

ability to participate virtually.

• We will have a table out front for items being dropped off.

Please have the item marked and call the office for someone to

come out. Students that are leaving early will be sent to the door

once a positive ID have been confirmed. Please call or report to

the main door and communicate with office personnel.

Notifications

• Building announcements will be communicated through the

intercom and Google Classroom.

• Building communication with families will be shared

through the REMIND app (Class Code @tamshs) and

OneCallNow.
