Dear Members and Guests:
Welcome back. We are ready for you! Make sure to carefully review this handbook, as we have
added some new activities. For six weeks starting in July, we will offer Yoga on Thursday,
Friday and Saturday. Please be advised we do not like canceling activities and events; with
that said we will follow the CDC and local Calaveras County Public Health mandates. We
will continue to do our best in serving you.

BLSHA Membership Rules
Please review the following rules and fee schedule; remember there is a fee to replace all lost
or damaged membership or guest cards. Everyone must check in at the Recreation Office
window, and those 14 years and older must wear a daily wristband. Your member card
along with photo ID must always be shown before using any of the facilities; this includes
Fly-In Lake.
Membership:
In accordance with the Association’s CC&R’s, Article 1 Second 1, paragraph (B) and Association
Policy 500 A-19 Extension of Membership Privileges, Membership Cards (s) and one Guest Card
are issued per lot. Membership privileges extend only to immediate family: a significant other
and dependent children.
Members with Guests:
In accordance with the Association Policy 500 A-19 Extension of Membership Privileges, a
member is entitled to accompany six guests to the facility without charge. The member
accompanying over the six guests per day per property will be required to pay an additional
guest fee of $4 per person.
Family Season Card:
For an additional fee (which is in addition to the Annual Homeowner's Assessment), a member
may purchase a family season card that will allow the member’s family to use the facilities.
Corporations that own property are not eligible.
Eligible family members are: parents, grandparents, non-dependent children, and
grandchildren of the member. The member does not have to accompany the family member to
the facility and need not sign-in such persons. However, an adult must always accompany
children until the age of 14.
The Family Season Card is effective from Memorial Day through Labor Day of the current
year. Cards must be purchased prior to using the facilities and the member is required to
provide the names of the eligible family members expected to use each card.
Family members are required to show identification, as this ID will be checked against the
family members listed on each card before being allowed entry into the facilities. Additionally,
a Family Member Card holder may bring in two complimentary guests. Guest fees apply to every
one over the age of two.

Fee Schedule Guests (with Guest Pass, not accompanied by member):
Members may leave their Guest Card in their home for non-owner usage. Guests must show
the BLSHA Guest Card along with photo ID at the Recreation Office window. Possessing the
Guest Card and photo ID entitles the holder to purchase a card for daily or weekly entry.
Guest fees apply to all of those over the age of two years.

Group (up to 6 people) $75 $300
Renter (possesses verification card from realtor)
A renter is an individual or single family who has contracted a Blue Lake Springs home from a
rental agency or Homeowner. The renters are entitled to use the Blue Lake Springs facilities
provided they show the Blue Lake Springs Renters Guest Card with name, lot and unit
numbers, along with photo ID. This card allows them entry after the daily or weekly fee has
been paid. Weekly passes are from noon of purchase date until noon of the seventh day. All
renters must check in at the Recreation Office.

Individual $15 $90
Group (up to 6 people) $75 $300
Rates are available for member-sponsored groups. For those who wish to accompany a group
such as an organization, church or school group, the fee is $5 per person. Advance registration
and approval must be obtained from Management.
Fly-in Lake Fee Schedule
Guests and renters may use Fly in Lake at the following fee schedule. Purchase of the Fly-in
pass does not grant you entry into the Snowflake Lodge facility.

Pool Times
All non-toilet trained children must wear secure swim diapers. Diapers are for sale in the
Recreation Office. Please remember an accident in the pool may require closure for as long as
12 hours. This affects all swimmers so please be courteous! Note: Per the Fair Housing
Amendments Act of 1988 only those participating in lap swim are allowed in the pool.
During swim lessons, water aerobics and water polo, the pool is closed to other swimming
activities.

Activities, Clinics and Classes
2 p.m. Kids Fun & Games: (Tuesday—Saturday) Check the
white board for activity. On craft days we will do a “grab bag”
you can take home or do with your family.
3 p.m. Story Time: (Tuesday—Saturday) for all ages.
7:30 pm Bingo: See calendar for dates. (TBD)
8:30 pm Movie: Most movies will be either PG or PG 13.
Check the calendar for dates.. Come join us for a movie, a
shooting star or two and sometimes an occasional racoon.
Basketball Clinic: (Coming in 2021)
Swim Lessons: TBD
Tennis/Pickleball Lessons: (TBD) Semi and Privates only. For
more information see the instructor directly.
Fly Fishing: Kids and adult classes. Call Ed Cutler, 209 890-
7340 for more information.
Yoga: Thurs. Fri. and Sat. 9:30 a.m. starting Thursday, July 2.
Theater Arts Camp: Postponed to 2021
Drop in Pickleball: Starts week of June 22. 10 am to noon.
Beginners Mon. and Wed. Intermediates Tues. and Thurs.
NOTE: All classes require a signed release of liability form . Final class/camp class depends upon total registrations.
A class may be canceled, consolidated or otherwise modified. Each class has a minimum number of participants.

Court Reservations
Tennis and Pickleball court reservations are first come, first serve; in person or
by phone, 795-4009. Reservations are accepted one day in advance.
Reservations begin on the hour, singles one hour and doubles two hours. When
there is a sign up time conflict please see the Recreation Director.
Courts 1-4 Open all day (reservations recommended)
Courts 3 & 4 Lined for pickle ball.* Reservations recommended
*Tennis and Pickle ball rackets to rent in the Rec Office; balls for sale.
Drop in pickleball:
Novice: Mon. and Wed. 10 am to 12 noon
Intermediate: Tues. and Thurs. 10 am—noon
Tennis/Pickleball Lessons PTR certified tennis instructor and high school coach Judith A. Anderson
offers semi and private lessons. She also conducts high school and adult
stroke and strategy clinics, as well as teaching pickleball.

$35 half hour, $50 for an hour

*NOTICE– The Fishing Derby may be a sign up event.. We are working on a way to keep physical distancing should it
still be mandated. Details to come. The Derby is limited to children 16 and under. Fishing is not permitted until af-
ter the derby on July 4. The daily fishing limit is six per child. After the derby you may fish from dawn to 10 a.m.
Please no fishing in the roped off areas and off the docks. Also, after the derby it is “catch and release fish-
ing”.

After Labor Day weekend, the pool, lakes and tennis courts will remain open depending on the weather. Pool hours will be posted on the pool gate. Thank you

BLSHA Summer Recreation Rules
In order to enhance your overall experience at Blue Lake Springs we have developed the
following list of rules. To verify proper use of all facilities (including the lakes) members and
guests must always be in possession of their Blue Lake Springs identification card.
A members card with photo ID must be shown when checking in.
• It is mandatory that infants and children who are not completely toilet trained wear
tight fitting swim pants in the pool and lakes. Please diaper your children.
• Children over 14 years old must be signed in by a parent and wear a daily wristband.
• The California State Health and Safety Code requires that an adult at least 18 years
old must accompany children unable to swim and children under 14 years of age.
• Glass containers of any kind are not allowed on any of BLSHA property.
• No smoking/vaping of any kind on the BLS facilities; this includes all beaches and Fly-In
Lake.
• No cutoffs. Swimmers must shower prior to entering the pool.
• No running, pushing, diving or horseplay is allowed in or around the pool.
• All musical devices must be used with ear buds.
• No animals allowed in the Lodge area, pool or lake except authorized ADA service dogs.
• No bicycles, skates, roller blades, skateboards, or scooters on any of BLS property.
• Pop-up tents are restricted to 8 feet by 8 feet and must be erected 20 feet from the
water’s edge.
• For safety we request the water’s edge to remain clear of large floating devices.
• For safety, no swimming under the lake docks.
• The facility closes at 6 p.m., unless there is a scheduled event.
• Paddleboards, hard-body kayaks, over 3-person boats and oversized floating toys are not
allowed at Lodge Lake; however, such items are permitted at Fly-In Lake.
• All pop up tents, umbrellas, chairs and floating devices must be removed from the beach
area at the end of each day. A storage area is available next to the lower tennis courts. All
items left at the beach storage rail must be secured and are left at owners risk.
