Recent Accomplishments Since 2015, the GLCEDC and its partners have worked with over 20 companies and four area school districts resulting in: approximately 3,000 jobs created and/or retained; enhanced over 2.5 million square feet of manufacturing and retail space; nearly $55 million in capital investment; and impacted the education of nearly 4,000 Livingston County students through our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) programming initiatives. EMPLOYMENT INCENTIVE GRANTS The GLCEDC disbursed Employment Incentive Grants leading to the creation and retention of approximately 2,000 jobs and totaling over $3,700,000 to: Alloy Specialties, Blackstone; Anthony Liftgates, Pontiac; Advanced Technology Recycling, Pontiac; Caterpillar, Pontiac; Slagel Meats, Forrest; Technical Metals, Fairbury; and Vactor, Streator. PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENTS Anthony Liftgates, Pontiac; BMCH Properties, Fairbury; Caterpillar, Pontiac; and Selig Group, Forrest received property tax abatements resulting in the creation and retention of approximately 1,100 jobs, and improvement of over 1.6M square feet of manufacturing space. BMCH BUILDING IMPROVEMENT GRANTS The GLCEDC approved over $110,000 in Building Improvement Grants to: Captain’s Concrete, Dwight; The Cup and the Scone, Pontiac; DeLong Ford, Dwight; Family Eye Care, Pontiac; Hoffman House, Fairbury; Hustedt Jewelers, Pontiac; J. Marie’s Salon & Spa, Fairbury; P.K. Unkorked, Pontiac; Sealtite, Fairbury; Timber & Fieldstone, Chatsworth; Total E. Clips, Pontiac; Van Vessen’s Auto Expo, Dwight; and Wells on Main, Fairbury. S.T.E.M. FUNDING The GLCEDC impacted the education of nearly 4,000 students with approximately $225,000 in Education Enhancement Stimulus Grants for S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to: The Livingston Area Career Center (LACC), Pontiac; District #429, Pontiac; Prairie Central CUSD #8, Fairbury; and Woodland CUSD #5, Streator. The GLCEDC and recipients of our grants recognize and greatly appreciate the sustained and generous support of Livingston County.

Recent Accomplishments

Since 2015, the GLCEDC and its partners have worked with over 20 companies and four area school districts resulting in:

approximately 3,000 jobs created and/or retained; enhanced over 2.5 million square feet of manufacturing and retail space;

nearly $55 million in capital investment; and impacted the education of nearly 4,000 Livingston County students through our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) programming initiatives.
