SC Films specialises in international film sales, distribution, finance and film production. SC Films is based in Soho, London and was founded by Simon Crowe and tech entrepreneur, Matthew Joynes in 2008.
SC Films focus on 4–5 theatrical films per year, working closely with producers and financiers to secure finance and maximise revenues worldwide.
2018 was a very busy year for SC Films. The year started with the world premiere of the highly acclaimed animation feature WHITE FANG at Sundance FF and then its subsequent worldwide release from March 2018 – France 500,000+ admissions. GNOME ALONE and CHARMING were also theatrically released throughout the summer. PACHAMAMA had its world premiere at Animation Is Film in LA & London FF over a very busy weekend in October for the director, who flew to both events. Netflix licensed ROW. SC Films also launched a new television division headed by Stephan Manpearl in LA. We are currently developing two major TV shows for primetime television KING OF LATE NIGHT and SLOWFOOD.

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER tells the story of Little Charlie, a small rabbit who lives with his loving family and pets in a house at the edge of town. Like many five-year olds, Little Charlie goes to a kindergarten and plays with his friends in the neighbourhood. He is used to having his parents’ full attention – but all of that changes when his baby sister Clara is born, leading to an unexpected adventure with his best friend Monica.
The 75 minute German-Dutch-Swedish co-production, aimed at children aged three to seven, will be released in the Summer of 2021. Written by acclaimed scriptwriter Are Andrea Brücken and directed by Slugger Films’ Michael Ekblad (Molly Monster), the film has already secured theatrical distribution with Universum in Germany, Foklets Bio in Sweden and Periscoop in Benelux.
“It is a great adventure in itself to direct a good and exciting movie for the younger children. A story we try to tell from their own unique perspective. A story of courage, acceptance, growing as an individual and understanding the needs of others,” said the direct Michael Ekblad of Slugger Film.

LEAP OF FAITH world premiered at Venice International Film Festival and screened at Sundance. Other prestigious festivals include London, Mar Del Plata and Sitges.
LEAP OF FAITH is directed by Alexandre O. An alien spaceship crash-lands in an isolated town in the middle of the Australian desert. It releases an insidious parasite that attacks the brain of all creatures including humans, making them disorientated, unnaturally strong and violent.
Sergeant Jo Sharp, a long-time local cop desperately yearns for the city after being dragged back to the small township due to the birth of her nephew. Prepared to leave, she wakes to find the township without communication. With her last day of duty ahead of her, Jo decides to rectify the problem with the help of her partner Luke Dawson. They soon realise that the ‘simple’ problem of fixing the coms tower is not so simple at all. As unexpected events unfold, the town starts to fall victim to a parasite that is spreading faster than it can be contained.
The manic town desperately seek salvation as they run from their infected love ones, but it seems they have been trapped by unknown forces. With no way out and the virus claiming more and more towns-people, Jo struggles to understand why… It eventually becomes clear that she must work with the alien creature, who is prepared to destroy the virus at all costs, if she wants to survive. A genre hybrid of alien sci-fi and thriller – THE DUST WALKER will keep its audiences on a fast journey, making the 24-hour time frame intensely adventurous, horrific and chilling.

In a corner of Antarctica, three simple penguins have their blissful lives uprooted by the arrival of a dove with an invitation – an invitation to take a ‘cruise to a new world!’
Our bumbling heroes must be at the ark at 8, but the invitation has one strict rule, only two of every kind will be admitted. What chance do three penguins have? After setting sail on a polar bear pow-ered ice float and stowing away on this historic voyage, the plight of Pen, Goo & Wyn becomes a funny fable seen through the eyes of the animal passengers. The dove, on the word of Noah, is in charge of running the ark, every species has a role to play, from the king of the jungle to the gorilla guards. After clumsily trying to hide their existence the penguins are soon found out and the dove decrees that one of them must walk the plank! The chaos that ensues puts the whole ark in jeopardy, and it is soon left to the penguins to save the boat from sinking. Proving that in this case, maybe 3 penguins are better than 2.
With the tone of MADAGASCAR, ICE AGE and a bit of THE MARX BROTHERS, this new twist on an old tale takes a humorous look at conformity, classism and the gentle power of forgiveness. This is a must see film for all the family!

Famous Israeli author and renowned cartoonist, Michel Kichka is the son of a man who was the sole survivor of his family, all of whom were killed in the concentration camps.
At 20 years old, Michel’s father returned to his native Belgium, marrying and fathering four children, two girls and two boys. This is the story of Michel’s family and his relationship to his children. They must understand the many issues their father has had to face throughout his childhood, and grow up to become strong independent people in their own right.
This intimate and poignant story, told in a unique and touching tone, could only be done justice through animation. A story about survivors and the triumph of the human spirit.

The series is based on the life of Johnny Carson, who for more than 30 years hosted The Tonight Show, the most popular and successful late night show in television history. Johnny Carson was the most important star of his time. His power was unlike anyone before or since. While he appeared to be cool, charismatic and charming, happiness and serenity always seemed to elude him. The series will focus more on the Carson his fans never got to see. Viewers get to look behind the curtain of both the Tonight Show and the man who was both a brilliant performer a comic genius and a man troubled in his tumultuous private life, including three ex-wives.
The pilot script and series outline has been written by esteemed writer and showrunner David Milch, whose credits include DEADWOOD, TRUE DETECTIVE, NYPD BLUE and HILL STREET BLUES. Mr. Milch has won 4 Emmy’s, and garnered 10 additional awards and 35 nominations, over his career. Olivia Milch (OCEANS 8) is part of the writing team.
1948 Post-War. Germany defeated and Russia no longer allies. The West is faced with the threat of a nuclear war with Russia. Pilots from around the world race to join the effort by Britain and the United States to save Berlin from starvation during the Russian blockade.

The series will be produced by Paul Green and Paula Munoz Vega of Anonymous Content. The company has a long history of highly successful and critically programs such as TRUE DETECTIVE, MR. ROBOT and features including REVENANT, SPOTLIGHT, THE WIFE and WINTERS BONE.
