Summertime is just around the corner! Looking to solidify summer camp for your child a little earlier this year? Well you’re in luck! New this year, the Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club will be opening our summer camp

registration on Monday, February 10, 2020! We offer 2 day weeks, 3 day weeks, or full week options.

The cost of these are as follows: 2 days is $50.00 per camper, 3 days is $75.00 per camper, and full weeks are $110.00 per camper. Our camp is open to children ages 6 to 13. We also offer a Counselor-in-Training program for 14 to 18 year old members. Prices for camp still apply for Counselor-in-Training members, and prospective

Counselors-in-Training must apply for the position and be formally accepted into the program.

Our camp spots fill on a first come, first serve basis and fill FAST, so don’t wait! Registration will only be

accepted for weeks and/or days that are paid in full. If you have any questions, or would like to schedule

a tour of our facility, please call (215)-723-2402.

2020 Summer Camp Information

All memberships expire on December 31, 2019 ALL members are required to renew their memberships for the New Year. Any child without a current membership will not be permitted to attend the Club. A current 2020 membership is necessary to participate in ALL programs. All programs are open to both boys & girls unless otherwise specified in the description. Our Club proudly supports military personnel by offering FREE memberships to the children of military families! As winter quickly approaches, we would like to remind you that in case of inclement weather, each Club will follow their School District's decision on closing. Therefore, if the District closes for the entire day, dismisses early or cancels after school activities the Club will also close. Information regarding all emergency Club closures will ONLY be distributed via the North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club app and on our Club’s Facebook Page. Please download the app and check Facebook regularly. The Club will not be held responsible, in the event of an emergency closure, if guardians don’t check Facebook and/or do not have the Club app to receive push notifications.

Are you ready for some football? This popular program is back and better than ever! This year we will offer three age divisions and our brand new Powder Puff Girls Only division. The Flag Football League will follow a 6-week schedule followed by two weeks of playoffs for all teams and the 2020 Super Bowl game!! INFORMATIONAL/DRAFT NIGHT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL PLAYERS IN PEEWEE, POWDER PUFF AND BANTAM LEAGUES. During draft night participants will be evaluated on different skills. We will also review the rules of the game. Games are played on a rotating schedule. Participants will receive both an email and phone call after the first night to confirm their team placement and schedule for the program. Each player will also receive a printed schedule. PeeWee, Powder Puff and Bantam teams will have a one night practice session with their team before the season begins so players and coaches can get to know each other and work together to practice flag football skills! PeeWee and Bantam leagues will play games in both the basketball and turf gyms to help alleviate the nights when games run late! Games will alternate so all players have a chance to play on the turf! Senior League members can make your own teams! Come in groups of 6! Don’t have a team? We’ll match single players up with teams and/or create a house team! NEW THIS YEAR! PeeWee and Bantam leagues will be limited to 80 players (8 teams x 10 players per team). Sign up early! New Girls Only league on Wednesday nights! Based upon the success and feedback from our Powder Puff Flag Football Tournament, we’re adding a girls only league on Wednesday nights! This league is open to girls ages 8-12. Signups are limited to 40 girls. Girls are welcome to sign up to play in both leagues, if interested! Separate league fees apply. **Game times are subject to change before the first week based on number of teams needed in each league. Please be sure to check your teams schedule when it is given out to confirm game times for your team** Cost: $20 per player plus $20 for 2020 Club membership. The 2020 Club membership fee MUST be paid and membership form completed in full before a participant is eligible to sign up for this league.

Touchdown Tots and Senior Division players receive a free 2020 membership. Membership form MUST still be completed and turned in.

Late fee for sign ups after the deadline is an additional $10. SPACE IS LIMITED!!! **League t-shirts are not guaranteed with late registration** In the event of inclement weather there will only be one snow makeup game per league. The Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club closes whenever the Souderton School District closes for inclement weather as well as when the Club deems conditions unsafe for members and their families. Touchdown Tots will utilize creative and imaginative games to focus on basic football skills like

running and catching. The program will highlight a positive character trait each session such as

respect, teamwork and appreciation as our youngest members learn football fundamentals that

prepare them for one day playing in our Flag Football League.

Let’s Get Artsy When: Mondays, starting January 13

you learn about all different sciences!

Painting with Miss Yylana When: Thursdays, starting January 16

play games, and plan fun projects.

Key Club

Key Club will kick off its winter session by participating in the MLK Day of Service again this year on January 20

th (first meeting is still January

15th). Join us as we head out in the community to

volunteer our time to better the world around us. In addition to this, Key Club members will explore local colleges and take other great field trips, all while developing leadership skills to impart among their peers. If your child has not joined the Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club Key Club program, NOW is the time!

Pixar in a Box When: Thursdays, starting January 16

Time: 4:30-5:30pm Who: Ages 10 & up Cost: FREE Pixar in a Box is a behind-the-scenes look at how Pixar artists do their jobs. You will

be able to animate bouncing balls, build a swarm of robots, and make virtual fireworks

explode. The subjects you learn in school — math, science, computer science, and

humanities — are used every day to create amazing movies at Pixar. This collabora-

tion between Pixar Animation Studios and Khan Academy is sponsored by Disney.

Each week members will work through a series of activities to learn the science used

to create their favorite movies!

Wizards of Hogwarts

Join your friends for an exclusive 8 week training course from Hogwarts Academy! We will begin with the Sorting Hat and divide into houses before formal training begins!

Sugar Plum Shakedown When: Friday, December 13

Come join us for an exciting night of winter fun! Our famous annual Sugar Plum Shakedown will be held in the gym with lots of fun holiday music and games. Cookies and hot chocolate will also be available.

Rumor has it that Santa Claus and his favorite elf may be stopping in for a visit if he can find the time in his busy holiday schedule!

Glow Tween Night

Beat the winter blues and party with your friends as the Club gets decked out in all things glow! Dance with your friends upstairs or play a game of dodgeball in the turf gym. Middle School Mixer Night

too old for Tween Night? Join us for the first

ever Middle School Mixer night! Dance and

hang with your friends or play pickup ball in

the gym. We’ll get some pizza and snacks

and have fun!

Black Light Dodgeball Tournament

When: Friday, February 28th

Time: 5:30-6:00pm (Registration) 6:00-10:00pm (Game play)

Who: Boys & Girls Ages 9 & up

Cost: $5

Grab your friends and get ready to dip, dive and dodge in our Black Light Dodgeball

Tournament! Games will be set up in a bracket style to determine a champion and game length

will be determined by the number of teams participating. Games will be played 5

players vs. 5 players. Teams are limited to 5 players. Wear neon or white to show team spirit!

Snacks will be for sale and players can enjoy our upstairs games room when they are not

actively playing. Beat the rush by registering your team of 5 players before the event!

This event is limited to 120 players.

Girl Scout Night

When: Friday, March 20th

Who: All registered Girl Scouts

Cost: $5

All Girl Scouts are invited to the Club for our 5th Annual Girl Scout night! Come earn a badge,

make new friends and enjoy playing in the Club! We’ll also sing some favorite Girl Scout songs

and end the night with a giant friendship squeeze! All Girl Scouts will receive a 2020 IVBGC Girl

Scout Night patch! This event is limited to 125 Girl Scouts so sign up early!
