Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the Vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads
it. For the Vision is yet for an Appointed Time; but at the end it will
speak, and it will Not Lie. Though it tarries, Wait for it; because it will
surely come, it will not Tarry.” Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV)
Rising Star Baptist Church “Catch the Vision”
20/20 VISION
Catch the Vision... Over 25 years ago, God gave me a vision to build a campus for the church and community. At that time, we were in a little church on a corner. God also blessed us with a house across the street that we turned into a Ministry Center. Later, we purchased this land and built what you see today. We did it by faith and we had our fi rst service April 1, 2007. God gave us the vision and the provision.
Now it’s time to go forward with the original vision. It’s time to dream again. It’s time to fi nish what we started. Our goal is to fi nish building this campus by 20/20. This timeline gives us 5 years to save over $500,000 and pay off our current mortgage, and an additional two years to build and furnish a Family Life Center. The east side parking lot will be fi nished during this phase also. All of this additional space will enable us to minister to more people. I’m inviting you to be part of this vision. Catch the Vision!

Exciting things are taking place at Rising Star, and we want you to join the excitement. The “Catch the Vision and Dream Again” campaign is aimed at educating the church family on the goals and major projects for the next fi ve years.
The facts have not changed; • The largest growing segment of the U.S. population is the “nones.” These are people who have no religious affi liation and do not attend church. • Economic recovery is slow and steady, but many families within our congregation and Southern Arizona are still hurting.
We have seen the facts and now it is time for a change. With Christ-centered, community-focused goals in mind, Rising Star is moving forward. As a church body, we are extremely blessed and it is time to be a blessing to others.
