The PolyFinTech100 API Hackathon was a very meaningful learning opportunity. I learnt how computers can recognise an image and how a simple chatbot can be created using publicly available trained AI agents. Having to go through brainstorming, prototyping, and finally pitching my ideas to a wide audience were challenging yet invaluable experiences for me.

ITB has equipped me with industry-relevant logistical knowledge and communication skills. For example, I learnt about logistical processes, which allowed me to gain a better understanding of what goes on in the warehouse or during the transportation journey, while the trade and business modules trained me to analyse and consider issues from different perspectives. The course also gave me the opportunity to participate in the WorldSkills Singapore Competition. I believe these experiences will stand me in good stead when I enter the workplace.

Lee Jia Ying Diploma In International Trade & Business, Year 3 Jia Ying participated in the Worldskills Singapore Competition in 2020, where she won the Gold Award for the Transportation & Logistics - Freight Forwarding category.
