CLESF brings together some of the world’s most talented and renowned physicians and PhDs to provide education and hands-on instruction, featuring cutting edge applications and techniques.

Learning Opportunities for EveryoneThe Chicago Lower Extremity Surgical Foundation (CLESF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, research, and outreach for lower extremity healthcare. Our goal is to assist individuals and communities in need by performing pro bono surgical procedures to qualifying cases of congenital limb deformities, such as tibia and fibular hemimelia, angular limb deformities, and diabetic limb salvage, among others.

OUR MISSIONTo be a leader in post-academic orthopedic education and outreach, and to provide treatment for pediatric and adult lower extremity deformities in communities where it is most needed.

The Chicago Lower Extremity Surgical Foundation courses are planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Chicago Lower Extremity Surgical Symposium (CLESS)

FOCUS: Orthoplastic Fracture Management and Reconstructive Peripheral Nerve Surgery

The Chicago Lower Extremity Surgical Symposium (CLESS) provides a basis for current surgical techniques in orthoplastic fracture management and reconstructive peripheral nerve surgery. The course is three intense days, featuring two days of didactic lectures and one day of cadaveric skills sessions, led by some of the world’s leading surgeons in these techniques.

CLESS is designed for physicians interested in increasing their training and knowledge in internal and external fixation, orthoplastic fracture management, muscle flap techniques, plastic reconstruction, nerve repair, and associated orthobiologics applications.

REGISTRATION: VIRTUAL FORMATOffers one day of didactic lectures and two days of cadaver skills dissection. Participants may view sessions live and will have ability to view sessions on-line for a determined period of time post course.
